I also justified the 79.00 (with gratuity price) per day because it's a 3 port western Caribbean, I will be doing shorter excursions for the most part and will most likely be staying on the ship in Cozumel. I have no doubt I will get my monies worth at 79.00 a day, but my husband it will be a bit harder for him. And really, with the 79.00pp pd pricing, the included coffee, water, redbull, milkshakes is really what pushed me to do it. I have memories of Royal Caribbean coffee being terrible and I drink at least 2 cups of coffee +1 espresso based drink per day at home
I couldn't agree more even though our sailing is a 7 night we have 3 sea days, a day at Coco Cay and short days in Nassau and Port Canaveral. This was a huge factor in what we were willing to pay along with the coffee which we will both have at least a couple a day.
Everyone keeps mentioning the fresh squeezed OJ in the MDR for breakfast but I prefer mine with Champagne...

I only knew where it was because I was looking at it to see what was covered on our upcoming Oct. 2nd cruise. As it stands today, we could still get a refund for a positive test or COVID exposure pre-cruise, but once we are onboard, we would get no help with any quarantines for a positive test.
F0r $130 we took the travel guard insurance...

price for Liberty 9/4 is 66.99 so I bought it. If it was 78 I don't think I would have jumped on it.
I just paid $66.99 for Anthem 11/13...any more than that I would probably pass.

On Mariner right now, and the onboard price is $105/pp/per day.
Is that including the gratuities (18%)? If not that is like $1,734.60 per couple on a 7 night....I would pass at that price.

It's detailed here:
Guests will have the following COVID-19 Assistance at no extra charge.
- 100% cruise fare refund for you, and your Travelling Party, if any of you tests positive for COVID-19 within 10 days prior to the cruise or at the boarding terminal, for cruises departing on or before April 30, 2023.
- Pro-rated cruise fare refund if your cruise is cut short for reasons related to COVID-19, for cruises departing on or before September 30, 2022.
- If you test positive for COVID-19 during the cruise, Royal Caribbean will cover the costs of COVID-19 related medical treatment onboard, and provide assistance with any required land-based quarantine, or travel home for you and your Traveling Party, for cruises departing on or before September 30, 2022.
Thanks for the response...apparently my google skills aren't as good as they once were.

Almost the entire island is covered in loungers with plenty of umbrellas at no additional cost. Several included food options & if you have a drink package or Diamond & above drink vouchers, they all work there too.
We love going there & not spending a penny other than tipping for our Diamond drinks.
I concur...

Is this the current policy for cruises being booked now? I looked on RCI site and it states that if booked after March then there would be no refund. It is so confusing, so I just took the cruise insurance. Now not sure I needed to...

This cabin is on the port side of the ship one cabin over from 6624

So just to be clear and summarize...
OJ should be fresh squeezed; Font size matters; Friends of Bill offer discounts on the DBP; a suitcase full of Red Bull would cost more to fly home than worth; either you Love or Hate the Drink Package, if you love the drink package you're an alcoholic and if you hate it you're a prude...
But seriously my doctor tells me to drink 8 - 16 cups of water a day which I struggle to do but when on board and I have the drink package I have no problem drinking all day...
We usually start the day with Latte on our way to the MDR (No WJ for us but that's a topic for another post) for a mimosa or 2 at breakfast, then 3-4 (+/-) poolside (or 7-8 if it's hot), water bottles for the room while getting done for dinner. Then we stop and meet our group or new friends (not Bill's friends though) at one of the bars for a pre-dinner drink or two. Possibly wine or another drink at dinner but mostly just water (to re-hydrate). Specialty coffee after dinner or an after dinner drink at or before a show (or casino, or bar depending what entertainment is scheduled for the night). Then throw in water bottle/s when getting off in port, a random milk shake or fruit smoothie.
All said and done we only get the package if we are going to warm weather location/s and if the trip isn't port heavy. It only makes sense for us if we are poolside most of the day. It helps that RCI includes the package on Coco Cay. For example our next cruise on the Anthem OTS goes to Port Canaveral (where we will most likely stay on the ship); Nassau and Coco Cay. So Nassau will be the only day where we won't be on the ship during the day. So even if we broke exactly even at the end of the cruise I would still get it so in a way it is pre-paid. While on vacation I want to relax and not worry if a frozen drink melts quick in the sun or a beer gets warm or a drink spills or I don't like something new that I tried.
If we get to the point where we don't break even we won't be getting it anymore. So far it is worth it for us, although the price for the package has gone up considerably since we bought it last (pre-covid). Hope you could read my font, understood my humor or got something out of my post..if not keep scrolling!!!

Actually, we are doing NCL Joy out of NYC. We are in port early 7AM to 7PM, that is why I was interested in doing the excursion on our own to give us more time at the space center, but decided to go with the ship excursion for ease.
Being that the KSC closes at 5 when we are there this prepackaged won't be an option for us.

Thank you Ashland, we decided to do the ship tour do to your great advice.
JJJCT: We are booking the Anthem OTS which stops at PC from 12PM - 8PM. We don't have our confirmation number yet so we can't see the excursions from RCI. I am looking forward to your information once you get back and have a chance to reply.

I truly hope that nobody falls for that but I am sure some will. I also hope that passenger lists weren't compromised and that they are calling random people.Hi, I read this morning that scammers are emailing and phoning stating they are from the cruise company and you are due a refund or fcc, they then ask for bank details, please be aware,

Did you register and complete your info online? Near the end of registration you can add you email or cell phone for communication regarding this sailing. You can also bypass communication. Could it be that you added his email when checking in online and not yours?Thanks... I did check my profile... but it is only for ME...and it is correct.
Either way the FCC is by booking and it should all be there even as others have said maybe not equally.
Hope you rebook and have a great cruise in the near future...

This to date was our favorite ship...the cabins were the best we have seen on any ship. Ship was bigger than most we have been on but never felt really crowded. September is a long way off, you will enjoy!!! Let's hope we are back to some kind of normal by then!!!
-
We booked two GTY balcony cabins on the Anthem last September and I spoke to a RCI rep who told me that the cabin selection is done by a computer randomly. As "Ourusualbeach" stated above though you can call once the cabins are assigned and see if there are closer rooms withing the category. In our case the ship was pretty full so we had no choice. In fact one cabin was assigned weeks before the second one was. We ended up on the same floor but one cabin in the front of the ship and one in the back. Either way we were happy for the cabins we got for the $$$ paid.
Good luck and have a great cruise!!!

They also have rolling bars around/near the pool where they do not have a computer and just write down your info and put it in later. I've gone from the regular bar with my drink and getting another at one of the pop up bars by the pool a minute or two later...

You caught the cruising bug....you might book another cruise while on this one. Thanks Ken
Good to know.
I'm so keen - first cruise and I want to know EVERYTHING.... NOW!!! LOL. I'm going to make myself a little crazy I think [emoji846]

The main food pavilion in the center of the island is free and is the best out of any of the cruise lines private island BBQ's. There is the normal hot dogs and hamburgers but there is also a taco bar.
Then there are other choices around the island which are also free.
This is the best private island out of all of them. Also if you have the drink package it works on the island unlike some of the others.
