    Too little info.
Oceania cruise credits are based on length of a cruise rather than number of cruises. Thus, someone with fewer but longer cruises might have more cruise credits than his/her partner.

Not sure what you mean about “combined” accounts. Once you register your newly booked cruise or even if you just sign into the O website you should be able to see the cruise credits YOU have. Your partner would have to have their own O account to see their cruise credits.

As for emailing O, you’re better off calling.

If you re read my original post my question is not about my cruise credits ( after 40 cruises I know how credits work).

My husband & I both had our own accounts but some time over the last 2.5 years since I last logged in to our accounts they have been combined into 1 account.  My question is why would this happen.

As you can see from my address I live in Australia and you have been on these boards long enough to know we have great difficulty getting any information out of Australia's O office.  Let alone correct information.    Phoning the US and sitting in a que for some times a long wait is very expensive.

So again my question is why would our 2 accounts we had for years now appear as I account in my name?   My husbands list of cruises does not appear and he has done several cruises different to me.

Thank you again for any info.

  2. I have  done 40 Oceania cruises so far but none since COVID hit. Disembarked Jan 5, 2020 from our last cruise.

My husband has 32 cruises with Oceania.   I have to admit to not following CC since this time.    But we now have 2 cruises booked.

While checking my Oceania Club Account I noticed O have combined our accounts together, showing 40 cruises.

Has this happened to anyone else or can anyone explain why this has happened.   Email to O has gone unanswered.

    Thank you.  Rhohea

You might want to try approaching your town/city's Mayor and/or City Council and see if some sort of official effort can be made by having the City reach out to Oceania and request that a care package be delivered to the ship on behalf of the City.   The company will want to keep good relations with the local agency and this might receive a favorable response.

Thank you for your response but I  was just giving Lyn a reply to her statement.   We are already supporting 4 crew members who have not worked since March.

They probably take her out for  a spin to keep things in working order

Wonder if they would allow  things to be sent onboard  that came from unknown sources (locals)  with Covid & all ?

They are trying to keep the crew safe

    Hi Lyn,

My information is that NO parcels etc can be sent to crew onboard any O ship at this time.  Maybe closer to sail date they will allow.  You know my contact who is still home will be missing his birthday & Xmas gifts this year.  And will also miss having us onboard Riviera  for Xmas/New Year.😭😭😭  Probably not as much as we will miss being onboard.  Moving house is no where as much fun.😅😅😅

They take the ships out of port to deep water to top up their water supply.  So I'm told by a crew member who is onboard Marina now.

  5. Its the way the world is going...get with the times.  Much better to have an app that is cabin key, pay for drinks, complete Muster Drill requirements, embarkation details complete before boarding.  Health questionnaires completed before arriving at the port (but within a certain time frame).  Documents such as pre embarkation COVID test results could be uploaded to the app before arrival at the port.

Papers and Daily Currents could be on the app also....saving lots of trees.

To get around everyone needing WIFI access a second access to Oceania  ONLY  site would  be easy (I imagine).  If passengers do not have 2 phones maybe Oceania could have cheap handsets to loan out.     There would be many ways to get around it.   Got to love technology😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀

Do you have any source for your “ No PAY” comment? All had contracts when they boarded and I have no knowledge of the T&Cs of any of their contracts.

Once their contracts have run out they are not getting paid.  They are getting free wifi, food & accommadation).  Some have been signed up for new contracts but with different salary, varying lengths of the contract and of course different duties (as passengers have departed).  My knowledge is from crew member friends.  Crew are grateful for the company for looking after them but they want to get home to their families and need a salary to look after them.

  7. Marina dropped off approx 140 Jamaican crew in Jamaica and are now dropping off in Cozumel then heading to Belize, Guatemala & Nicaragua etc etc then dropping off crew for another 3 weeks around the Caribbean before heading back to Miami.

Guess there is no rush.  It has no where to go.

Just so happy the crew are finally getting to go home to their families.  They have been through a pretty rough time.  Most of them are on "NO PAY".

And our hearts go out to the crew who work so hard normally ... and have to work even more when a situation like this arises.

My heart also goes out to the crew.   Including the many who are at home and had their return to work dates moved back ...in some case months and then have no guarantee of a return date.     They still have to provide for their families (including extended families in some cases) and deal with the virus in their own country.

I hope those crew on board are getting free WIFI so they can stay in more regular contact with their families who must be worried sick about their health.   More cancellations on cruises mean less tips for crew also.

We have cancelled our cruise plans for the moment due to the virus as I have a serious permanent  medical condition.  Doctors said "no way".  Its killing me after 42 "O" cruises to have to stay at home.  Just have to hang in until it all cleared up.

No, Tahiti-Hawaii-SF.  I’m one who expects COVID-19 to be worldwide in a few weeks to a month. I worry that not just Asian and Italian cruises will be affected but potentially all cruises, as more and more fearful people will want out of being aboard cruise ships. As noted by many others sadly this could be catastrophic for the whole cruise industry.

Below is a short summary of what the French Polynesian Government posted to Australian Government  Smartraveller.gov.au website today.   On Facebook they are changing warnings hourly for some countries.  Originally it was 5 days prior to arriving, now its 3 days.  To get to Regatta in Tahiti Australians need to transit New Zealand who have similar testing etc.  We have cancelled our 2 O Cruises we had booked for this year and will wait and see what the next few months unfolds.   Our April cruise I think would be ok but I want to be sure I will get home at the end of it.   I feel for the crew who are home on vacation and have had their return to work pushed back months.(at this stage)

    Travel restrictions being enforced include:

    • A requirement to show a medical certificate issued by a registered medical practitioner within 3 days of arriving in country. It usually needs to be shown at check-in
    • A 14-day quarantine period in a third country free of COVID-19 or in other specified locations.
    • Denial of entry if you have been to a country, sometimes including Australia, which has been affected by COVID-19

Do they still have the single use water bottles in the fridge  in the cabins?

    Hi Lyn,

We just did 54 days on Riviera & Sirena and the answer is NO.   Only single use bottles are at gangways.

We just went past the table at gangways and picked a couple/several to put in our cabin fridge.   Easy.

Look forward to seeing you on December 11th in St. Lucia.

Considering that I had measles when I was 10, and I'm quite a bit older than that now ... not very easy to do!

Simple blood test will confirm if you have immunity Mura.   We have both just had it ...just so we knew if we immuned or not.

    We both are😀

  12. I am arriving in Rome at 2.45pm and am looking for a shared shuttle to Civitacchia that same afternoon.

Have contacted 4 companies all of which stop their shuttles at 2pm.

Sailing solo so would prefer shared transfer for cost purposes.

Does anyone have experience with late arvo  transfers from FCO to Civitacchia.

    Thanks in advance.   Rhohea  (Rhonda)

  13. A long time crew member friend on board Riviera said the ship looks beautiful.   He was very impressed with the end results.

And he is someone who normally does not make comment about things like that.  He said "you will love it".

Not embarking until late August so will have to wait and see.

  14. Can anyone who has traveled in this cabin with 3 adults please tell me if the 3rd person (adult) gets a single bed or

    just the fold out bed/couch.

Is it possible to ask in advance for a proper single bed if not automatically supplied.  Is there a cost if a single bed is supplied.

    Thank you  in advance

    Reykyavik, Iceland

    Isafjordur, Iceland

    Qaportoq, Greenland

    Paamiut, Greenland

    Nuuk, Greenland

Thank you in advance.  I have been to Bergen & Boston but cannot remember the shuttle details.

  16. Lyn, Please remember what you have taught me over the many years of knowing each other.

Can't remember the number of times you told me "always arrive the day before embarkation day". One nights accommodation is nothing compared to the cost of the cruise.

PS -Lyn. Have just cancelled our 2 x December cruises of Caribbean. Now doing Bali to Sydney Dec 28 - Regatta.

  18. We did a B2B on Marina in June this year and all our OBC carried from the first cruise to the 2nd cruise regardless of if it was Refundable or Non-refundable. We have done 5 x B2B and always have had the OBC carried over.

Have another B2B in March 2018 so will find out then if any changes.....hope not or the Spa will be busy along with the gift shop. These 2 cruises are on Sirena so shopping is not great compared to Marina & Riviera. Will have $1375 OBC on first leg and $1650 on 2nd leg. Plus our Oceania Club Spa credits. I don't drink and DH occasionally has wine with dinner.
