  1. Another thing to keep in mind is that going to guest services for any help at all is a waste of time. Carnival recognizes side to side cruises as 2 separate cruises. B2B on the same ship they make all accommodations for.

They make no arrangements for luggage transfer, we just walked about 100 yards to next pier put our new luggage tags on gave to porter and went to terminal to wait for boarding. We didn’t have long to wait for Second cruise boarding maybe an hour or so.

  2. Hi,

My wife and I did the same side by side cruise your doing last year a lot of fun and first time for us. Carnival uses a few different terminals during docking days so it’s hard to tell which one you will return to? As far as getting to the celebration after the horizon cruise you will be on your own, the cruise line doesn’t make any special accommodations for this.

We waited until 930 ish before leaving horizon and walked to the terminal F gave porters our bags and started another 7 day trip awesome.

I will caution you that it is VERY crazy busy with trucks, buses cars coming and going so be careful outside moving to next terminal there are no sidewalks on the dock side and the opposite side of street had some walk ways but some were closed for construction. We enjoy lunch the first day at Pig and Anchor restaurant it’s free and nobody there, unlike the buffet which is a mad house. Enjoy

    Hi,

We are sailing in spring 23 on Horizon out of Miami. I’m bring a few discount gift cards from Allstate and AARP to apply to my SS card as we need them. Can these be used to pay for shore excursions or paid restaurants? Thanks for help.

  4. Hi,

We are doing our first side by side cruise with carnival in April out of port Miami. We get off the Carnival Horizon after 8 days then walk to next pier to jump on the Celebration for a 7 day trip. A bucket list thing. My question is does the cruise line make any special accommodations for luggage for this type of trip?  Or do we just wait and get in line with everyone else to board second cruise. My cruise planner  was clueless. Thanks for any help.

  5. Hi,

We are thinking of planning out first B2B cruise in April 2023 on the Horizon. I saw a few complaints about ship AC in some public places

and the lack of cooling in others. Does anyone have any recent experiences to share? Thanks in advance

  6. Hi all,

Not sure if anyone else has the same concerns about dynamic dining I do. Are reservations needed for the complimentary restaurants or can the 3 of us get in line and pray we don't have a long wait? I can't get any reservations before 8pm and we don't like eating that late. We also dont want to eat in windjammer every night. Called Royal and they weren't much help as all classic DD was full. Can anyone ease my fears about long waits to eat dinner. Thanks for help.

  7. Hi guys,

We are cruising the anthem in August and I'm concerned about the whole dynamic dining thing. There are three of us and every time I try to make a reservation before 630 the only times that show are later and we prefer to eat earlier. My fear is that we will spend lots of time waiting in line to sit and eat in the complimentary restaurants. Anyone else experience this? Thanks
