Does anyone remember when on the first night of a cruise they used to have lobster claws at the buffet till they ran out.

It was not publicized but those who knew were there when the dinner buffet opened and was an appetizer for late 

sitting dinner. Can't remember when it ended

We made our reservation last year and see that we have the classic drink package on the reservation and four excursions free but Kusadasi twice. Will see if I can change it. Have been there twice before.

We are booked on this cruise from Oct 7-21. I see my reservation was changed from Crystal to 

the Journey. I am now checking options in ports besides the excursions that they offer

Nice work Princess. Guess you can care less about your loyal cruisers. Take away a useful benefit which we never get to use up (who stays on the internet all day on vacation?) and give us instead 10% discounts on services that are way overpriced. 

Celebrity is still listing cruises in Europe after June 11 but  I would like to know how these cruises can

sail when all the ships are still in Florida. There are no T/A cruise dates so how can they operate. It is getting 

close to payment dates and do they want us to pay and then wait for refunds after they cancel.

Why not cancel these cruises now? Most ports will probably be closed 

We were there about 7 years ago and we went to Butrint as there was not much else. Since it is a tender port the town looked nice from the ship. When you got close you saw the uncompleted buildings or the earthquake ruined buildings from years ago. The tours used old Mercedes buses that had no working a/c driving on pothole or unpaved roads. My main memory of the tour was the guide pointing out a hotel in town and calling it a "5 star hotel and best in the Mediterranean". There was a lot of muffled laughter. It was totally different than any other place I had been and it made some interesting stories and when else would you go to Albania. Am sure it hasn't changed much

We are 2 couples going to the Regal Princess on August 29.

We are stating at the Best Western Hebron hotel.

Would we be able to get a taxi to the pier that for 4 with luggage

or better to get 2 taxis. Same question for arrival at airport.

Received copy of RCCL annual report today and nowhere in the report was a mention the the

onboard credit for shareholders. Have they done away with it since it was so restrictive and

almost impossible to get. I wonder if Carnival brands will be next?:(:(:(:(:(:(

Do you think there is a chance that Princess will follow the dress policy

change that Celebrity has implemented?

We arrive in Beijing at 3 in the afternoon and our connecting flight leaves a

little after midnight. Would there be enough time to take the train into the

center to walk around for a few hours and get back with time before our

next flight. We have been there five years ago and think it would be better than

spending 9 hours in the terminal. Also is there a place in the terminal to check

our carry on bags.

Going on the Millennium in January. What pier do they use in

Hong Kong. Have heard they are out of the way and not near

Kowloon. Is this correct?

Yes it is manned around the clock if there are ships docked. I came off the ship at 5 am in the morning from Celebrity Century, there were 4 custom officers at the desks but only 1 X-ray machine working (2 persons manning the machine). So if there are too many people getting off at that time, you will see a queue at the X-ray machine.

 

Do beware waiting for the normal cab will take 5 to 15 mins. Maxi-Cab would be a lot faster but cost S$55 if pre-booked.

We will be ending our cruise in Singapore. Our ship gets in on Jan 30 and stays overnight and the cruise ends on the 31st. We plan on a flight

home on the 31st at 805am. My question is can we depart the ship anytime

during the stay or should we get off on the 30th and stay at a hotel?

Celebrity does not give a clear answer.

We are flying to Singapore and have 9 hours between flights in Beijing.

Can we and is there time to go into the city by subway without a visa.

We have been there before and know the subway is easy to use.

I plan on staying at the Singapore InterContinental on Middle Rd.

Is it in a good location?

I booked our Jaunuary 2015 10 day Southern Caribbean on Royal in March of this year. I check prices now and then (every couple of weeks) and was able to save about $70.00 per person about a month ago because of a price drop. I just checked again and saw a sale going on showing that our cabin (balcony on the Caribe deck) was going for $190.00 per person less. I called Princess to see if I could get that price and not only did I get that price, but even saved a little more because of being Platinum. The website showed the cabin at $1559.00 per person and she quoted me $1509.00 per person. Not bad since when I originally booked in March I was paying $1869.00 per person. I lost $50.00 per person OBC because of the rebooking, but that is small change with a $360.00 per person price drop since booking. :)

Most lines I have cruised discarded that years ago. Celebrity does a brunch, usually on the last sea day, with all the fancy carvings. EM

From Civitavecchia to Ostia Antica you have to take the train to Termini or get off at Ostiense and transfer to the subway going to Lido. Get off at Ostia Antica and it is about a 10 minute walk to the entrance. If you go to Termini you take subway line B to Laurentina and change at Piramide for the Lido train
