We are on the 8/27 Equinox cruise.  Can any of you confirm that your CVS rapid Antigen test was accepted at the port? I’m so paranoid about this.  I just scheduled the PCR test for

4:00 on 8/24.  We fly from Ca on 8/26.
im debating on signing up for Rapid

Antigen test as well. The word Rapid worries me. It would be a relief to know that your CVS Rapid Antigen test was accepted at the port?  Thank you in advance!

We did for the Edge cruise we’re on now! Enjoy!

  2. Here's a new wrinkle I didn't anticipate. Scheduled a curbside CVS rapid test a few days ago for this morning for my Edge cruise on Saturday. CVS leaves a voicemail about one hour before my scheduled time that all the tests have been postponed because of the weather. My traveling companion who is scheduled at a different CVS didn't get a message like that. It had been raining quite hard here in San Antonio, but at the time of the call it had pretty much stopped. About 30 minutes before my appointment I decided to just drive up to CVS and ask about getting the test since the weather had improved. The tech said he would call the manager who postponed the tests and call me back. Five minutes later he called back and said he was given the go-ahead to resume testing. So I'm good to go. And as I'm typing this I received my negative test results.

Today's test was my Plan B. I'll be cancelling my Plan C in FLL. Since I had a Plan C I guess I did anticipate it after all.

This may be a stupid question, but what do they mean by within 72 hours of embarkation? Is that my check in time?

So if I have a check in time of noon in Seattle on Friday, the earliest that I can get the test is 3pm EST on Tuesday, right?

This document linked from the Healthy at Sea page is a little more specific regarding the 72 hour time frame:

Must present a negative RT-PCR or Antigent test taken 72 hrs. prior to arrival at the terminal for sailings departing August 6, 2021 through September 6, 2021. [sic]

  5. A friend in San Antonio went to CVS today for a rapid antigen test. He said that the report does include the date and time the specimen was collected. Took about 45 minutes for a nurse practitioner to call with the results and post the results to his online record.

I did a fake test booking and it wasn’t until I chose my location that it actually said it was a rapid antigen test.

Do Blu and the MDR have separate vegetarian menus, or are just the vegetarian items in their regular menus available?

Just off Reflection. In Blu, never saw a separate Blu vegetarian menu. But they were more than happy to bring either the MDR menu with its couple of selections or the separate MDR vegetarian menu. And if the staff try to steer you away from a dish, take their advice. lol

  7. Definitely a normal table is the best as on other ships' sky suites. But our butler and I did improvise a table of sorts. He took the tray off the existing table and put it on the tomtom. I brought out the cube from the bathroom. A little awkward but it worked. Of course, the food was good. He was very apologetic about the whole table situation and (as has been reported elsewhere) mentioned tables would be forthcoming. He also chastised us for ordering by calling room service instead of calling him. We made that mistake only once.🙄IMG_8217.thumb.jpeg.7f87c83e187f912ab756c162f717f276.jpeg

  8. We really enjoyed the food quite a bit. And go in with an open mind about the performers and just have fun with it. Our waiter said that the main menu would be changing often. I ordered off the hidden vegetarian menu - you basically were served what the chef thought up that day. It was absolutely delicious. The veg menu in the app apparently is only a sample menu. And I understood the main menu was to only be a sample as well. If you don't just love an item off the main menu, ask what the veg option is for that course. Once the table next to me saw what my plates were, that's what they did.

Sailing on Edge right now and noticing that this ship has more creaks and groans – even in calm seas – than any other ship we have sailed on.  Caveat: I am not an engineer, and I hope that chengkp75 will set me straight on this thread straight off!  But I am wondering whether the 'breakthrough' engineering concept behind Celebrity Edge is fundamentally flawed.

We were on the January 13th Edge cruise I remarked that it was the quietest and smoothest sailing I've ever been on. We were in SS 10205 with the solid wall IV next to us. But from what I'm reading, our week was a bit smoother than yours has been.

We were on Reflection in it's third month and we heard quite a bit of creaking then.

  10. I just checked and it is still listed on the Celebrity site.

I also have an email from December 12 from Celebrity OneTouch....

"Thank you for contacting Celebrity Cruises, I am very happy to be able to assist you.
Captain's Club offers complimentary benefits for Elite members, among which complimentary
access only for Persian Garden, on one port day.
Unfortunately at this time, Thermal Suite onboard of Edge is not included."screenshot_20.thumb.png.e9f43cc4f94b6d33eb493f820fa062b4.png

So I did get an answer on this one. Even though it stated in the Edge spa FAQ that the Elite perk would be honored for the Thermal Suite it is NOT being honored on board. You can only get a 10% discount on a daily pass. That was a bummer as I wanted to try it out but have no interest in paying the prices they are charging.

Interesting. I just called Captain's Club and they said the free day should be available on the Edge. 🤔

Thank you. The accessible bathroom is a plus and nice to know about. On some ships the sunning area for suites is up a flight of stairs with no elevator access. As long as I can get around most of the area I will be fine.

Do you happen to notice if there is a running track or is it the usual obstical course through the loungers above the pool?

Take a look at sylvia_longmire on instragram. She is in a wheelchair and has posted many pics of the accessibility features on the Edge.

  13. The only dedicated veg menu I've seen so far is the veg menu for Eden (in the X iPhone app), which I promptly booked. In the past, the MDR has had a vegetarian menu, with all the other restaurants having at least one vegetarian app and entree.

I got the numbers from the X site today.  So, it looks as if we are all SOL, as they say. :classic_angry:

Does anyone have the prices from the Martini Bar?  Need to see if they, too, are over the Premium Package allowance.  :classic_unsure:

The X site says both $13 (on my cruise planner) and $15 (https://www.celebritycruises.com/things-to-do-onboard/onboard-packages/beverage-packages/premium-classic-and-standard). But I think recent cruisers have confirmed it's $15.

i emailed Lazar and asked  about the  blocking off of the walkway when someone is in a cabana and asked other questions as well:

The cabanas will be blocked on both sides/entrances, so people will not be walking trough Are the 2 chairs across from the cabanas part of the cabana or are they for anyone to use? This is correct, they are part of set up if you want them to be.

they are open 9-6  -cabana food available until 3.

A little disappointing but not entirely surprised about blocking the walkway. Hopefully in reality it won't be that big a deal for movement. But having it blocked off does make it more appealing to me anyway.
