Thank you for the review..We are going later this month...It will be our 4th time on Anthem

Prayers to captain rons family

I have sailed on Anthem many times and LOVE it..It was out first cruise once cruising returned. I love all my cruises for different reasons. To us the ship is our vacation, as we sail out of either Boston or Bayonne, the ports are mostly the same, but the ships are so different In the last year we have been on Anthem, Oasis and Voyager and loved them all. We are travelling on Anthem in April with friends who have never been on a cruise before so I am trying to make sure they get to experience all Anthem has to offer.

Are you visiting Saint John or St. John's? (There is no Canadian port known as "St John.") Big difference between the two.
Sorry..saint john new brunswick

We are cruising from Boston to Canada at the end of October with stops at Sydney, St John and Charlottetown PEI. We are not big History buffs but love music, breweries and wineries. This is our first time to Canada and I was hoping some seasoned Canadian cruisers could give some advise.

It all depends on what RCL decides to do about its current testing protocols for cruises to Canada. Given that Canada has not changed the language for pre-cruise testing on their Covid website yet and the Arrive Canada policy is slated to end on September 30, I doubt that the testing policy will change in time for your cruise.
Since Canadas covid protocols expire 9/30/22 if they do not extend them and rescind the current ones you may be all set. Just need to wait and see what Canada officially declares.

We were scheduled to sail the Allure OTS tomorrow. First time cruising with my sister, first time in Two Bedroom Grand Suite. Alas, it is not to be.
I did the PCR test Thursday at a local CVS and later that day, loss my sense of smell. What? This could not be happening. But it was. Got the test results Friday night and it was positive. I notified everyone I had been in contact with and let my sister know the cruise was off for us.
I spent about 45 minutes on the phone with Royal last night, sent them the test results, and our cruise was officially cancelled. All monies are to be refunded within 30 to 45 days. This morning, called the travel insurer and cancelled that policy. Money to be refunded in five to seven days.
I emailed Dexter, the SL concierge to let him know to release my Coastal Kitchen reservations. I think that is it.
As disappointed as I am, I see the value of requiring the test shortly before cruising, even for vaccinated cruisers. It would be awful to infect others and to be sick on the ship. Kudos to Royal and travel insurer for agreeing to refund all payments, and to my sister for caring more about me than a cruise. I know my September cruise will be all the better after having to miss this one.
Speedy recovery wishes

The little things on this Oasis trip:
The Suite deck has towels that you don’t need to check in or check out. We’re very diligent at returning ours anyway but stopped checking out towels from the pool deck towel station.
Magnets that hold the bedroom doors open in our stateroom.
The wait staff gets me a surprise non-dairy/vegan dessert from the MDR each night.C&A took care of getting the record straight on our past cruises, getting my son to Gold instead of pre-Gold. And very kindly closed my late daughter’s C&A account.
And if there was any sign that my daughter is with us in spirit, it’s finding her favourite colour of her favourite flower in Central Park.
Your daughter will be with you forever..The signs along the will be reminders

Any recent Oasis of the Seas cruisers remember the bands on board...It may change when she heads for New Jersey next month but good to know.

You and your wife should be commended for your honesty and you may of saved someone's life by avoiding her spreading it. May your wife have a quick recovery and may you continue to test negative.

If you are driving yourself, yes just through the entrance to the resort and the guard will give you a pass - tell them you are going to the beach and they should give you directions - easy - drive in, go straight for maybe 5 minutes or so and look for the sign for the beach on the right.
