  1. I will travel with the invoice that shows proper OBC, as well as Prem beverage, Stream and Prepaid gratuities.

I booked the suite originally, no Move Up or upgrades.

It's terrible arriving on board and having to deal with issues, much better to resolve in advance.

Thanks for clarification on CALL vs PALL. We don't drink so it's not much of an issue, but I will try mocktails. I'll see if onboard concierge can fix the drink package.

  2. I'm a bit confused about the specialty advance bookings.

Our last cruise was RCL, we bought unlimited specialty dining and the concierge took care of all bookings once we were onboard.

We are on Apex June 6, and have made most speciality reservations via the website. As we eat early, we booked all 6 pm meals.

I've also noticed that many of the speciality dining slots are currently full.

I would like to purchase the 8 night dining package, but it appears that I have to forfeit my valued dinner reservations and then start making new reservations once onboard.

I don't want to take the risk of not getting the dining venues and times I want.

If I try to book my 8 restaurants, and add the 8 night dining package, the cart shows charges for the 8 restaurants plus the charge for the 8 night package. That means I am paying double.

I really don't want to forfeit my current reservations. Am I missing something or being too obessive?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

  3. We just returned from Barcelona to Lisbon on Marina, our fifth Oceania cruise and second on Marina. Pre-cruise, we had concerns about the ownership change.

Surprisingly, the effect of the merger was positive.

Specifically, my wife found the sashimi quality at the buffet to be excellent and better than before. The service was impeccable, and the demeanor of the staff was very upbeat.

The only negative was that the butler only provided two selections for canapes, we had more on previous cruises.

But, he did provide a course by course meal in our cabin, from different dining venues. He also set up our cabin for our friends to enjoy the meal with us.

We traveled with others who were very particular about their food. On multiple occasions we heard "the steak is cooked perfectly", the lobster is tender and the best I've had, etc.

There were plenty of new dishes, one was an apple filling, with toasted goat cheese and sweetened panko crust. Amazing.

Additionally, there was great attention to detail. Upon re boarding at Tangier, all passengers had to walk over a disinfectant soaked doormat to sanitize their shoes.

What a great idea to enhance passenger safety.

Again, Oceania has NOT cut any corners.
