  1. Costco Travel Canada would not accept my cancellation!  Was on hold for over an hour while he elevated my situation to two supervisors at NCL. 
    We’re good to go!  Our NCL file and Costco Travel File have been documented with my husband's vaccine status and he will be permitted to board in January. 
     

    NCL COVID Vaccine  terms and conditions are way too vague…. They need to update them!  
     

    I think I will write NCL as well and try to obtain confirmation in writing.  Thank you all for your comments.

    It may be worth dealing with NCL in writing, via email, before you hit the cancel button.  NCL Reservations by phone isn't always up to speed, advice can be inconsistent, and talking with them doesn't give you a formal record of their advice. 

     

    If you write to the CEO, Harry Sommer, at  hsommer at ncl dot com, a member of the executive office will always reply, and in writing.  And maybe the advice will be different from what you heard on the phone.

For what it’s worth… I just got off the phone with NCL reservations and was told my husband would not be allowed to board from a US port if we were travelling this weekend having had an AstraZeneca vaccine in April, followed by Pfizer the end of June and a second Pfizer shot the end of September.  Booked a cruise out of San Juan for January, which I am now cancelling 🤨

  4. Greetings from CANADA! Looking for recommendations on how to get to Florence from Port of Civitavecchia. Preference is not to rent a car and drive. Has anyone taken the train? If the ship arrives in port at 5 am, what is the earliest train we could book?

  5. Just today. I saw that AC Marriott and Stellaris is taking some reservations.

     

    We are scheduled to stay in san juan nov 28 until our first cruise dec 2.

     

    Does anyone know these hotels, or which one is preferable?

     

    This "easy" vacation has turned into quite a fiasco. We have reservations at these two and best western Palm. Is Palm far for a walk to the beach. I also heard the beach is closed due to the water being contaminated, has anyone else heard that? Thank you.

  7. Visited Condado Beach October 28-30 and found it to be clean between the Marriott and Renaissance. There were a few vendors renting chairs for $5 and $10 for an umbrella. Undertow was strong but as long as you didn’t go out too far it was fine. Beach was clean, sand was soft and no seaweed if that helps.

  11. Do not book The Wind Chime Boutique Hotel. There is nothing boutique about it. Website indicates 3 star hotel with free wifi, air conditioning, pool all of which are NOT working. Electricity is on and off and minimal hot water. Would not recommend staying here. Had a reservation and left given their false advertising.
