  1. If the father is traveling alone with the daughter, mightn't he need notarized written permission from the other parent (if child is a minor)? I just thought I had read this elsewhere re: single parent situations.

my 4 years old and I were just on Escape. I didn't need any written permission from his dad.

  2. I wouldn't worry to much about it. I had a great time on the Getaway (large and good to great reviews) and recently on the Sky (small ship, many bad reviews). I am booked on the Spirit in March.

I take reviews with a grain of salt. It also pays to have the expectation that at least one or two things won't be to your liking and when they occur chalk them up to being one of the expected unexpecteds.

Low expectations make better cruises. High expectations make for a dreamier wait. I'll take the better cruise.

I really wouldn't sweat it, have a good time!

I agreed!! I was also on Sky last year and Escape a few weeks ago and I enjoyed both of them and I would cruise Sky again.

I think you will have a good time on Spirit :)

  3. We just got off the boat Sat. Get in line at Splash at 20 til for your 7 pm reservations (The line forms quick). They would start accepting kids most nights at 6:45 despite what all their signs said.

We were there before 7 but didn't get to check in til 7pm I guess have to be there earlier :)

  4. Yes, but what if it's 10:35 and the kids are not staying for the late night part?

I would just leave the show a little early. They are pretty strict about the time. We paid $6 the day we had the 9pm show. I'm not sure what time we made it there (well before 11) but we picked my son up right after the show.

  5. What if you went to the 9pm show? I've read they are about 90 minutes long. Does the Academy allow you to be a few minutes after 10:30 to pick them up? Or should you mention that when you drop them off that you will be there right after the show?

After 10:30 it's late night fun zone til 1:30am for $6/hr. I picked my kid up before 11pm and have to pay $6. They have the sign up sheet if u wanna stay after 10:30

  6. I was just booking my dinner and shows for my upcoming Escape cruise and I just realized that I have signed up for a 7pm show but the splash academy doesn't open until 7pm. Does it happen to open any earlier for people going to the show or I am going to have to be late for the show?

    Thanks

    Greg

They open right at 7. We were late for a few show too
