  1. My husband and I were on this same cruise.  We ate in the Capri dining room for breakfast each morning and for some of our dinners.  We were quite disappointed in the Thanksgiving meal.  The food was tasty but gosh you got as I can describe it a cookie scoop of stuffing and potatoes and the cranberry sauce was basically just a liquid.  The turkey was good but portions very small at the least.  We ate at Gigi's when we opted out of the dining room.  I use to go to the buffet but now I just want to be served.  We have been elite for quite a few years now and have seen many changes good and bad.  They finally had a new movie on the big screen Maverick Top Gun...very good

  2. Taking a cruise on Princess to Hawaii next August and ez air just opened up.  My question is for people who live on east coast, most of the flights out of LAX to NY don't leave until late evening.  Can't get a hotel room to hang out in since check in isn't until 4pm and certainly don't want to hang out at airport.  As much as we want to do this trip we are not young kids anymore and it would make for a very very long day.

  3. We just got off the Sky last Saturday after 2 weeks.  I used the app to order a cobb salad while I was on the pool deck or drinks for my husband and myself.  You do need to look out for the delivery person since they know what area you are sitting in but not which table.  We always tip the servers a couple dollars when they deliver it to us.

  4. Once when I sent out laundry for dry cleaning my blouse was not in the returned items.  What I had done prior to sending it out was take a picture of the items sent out.  I then showed the picture to my room steward who was able to locate it in the laundry area.

  5. We were also on the Royal for 2 weeks Jan 5-19 and are elite passengers.  The weather was not particularly good on our second week which was the western carib.  I have noticed over the years declining changes that have been made with activities and entertainment.  My husband loves karaoke and was only offered just once even though he says a lot of people attend.  It seems like everything is all on one day or very little the others.  The piazza was so crowded one day because absolutely nothing was happening and no chairs or tables to be found and the weather was not good.  If you play bingo or frequent the casino that was the place to be but it will cost you.  We did attend trivia whenever we could but they need to have alternative plans for not so nice weather outside.  These changes are fleetwide from what I can see.  Matt O was full of energy but as CD he needs to have a better handle on keeping his passengers entertained during inclement weather instead of everyone piling up on the plaza deck.

  6. We are currently on the Caribbean Princess and booked a cruise to Hawaii for April 2020 first time there.  My question is the weather and ship.  We have chosen Emerald out of LA.  We were last on her in 2010.  I am looking for any assistance from fellow cruisers regarding this particular voyage.  I have plenty of the time to make changes  if need be.  I just want warm weather in order to be able to use pools on board.  Any assistance would be appreciated.

  7. We were on a TA from Rome to Lauderdale last October and there were quite a few elites. This coming April we are a 27 day cruise from Lauderdale and we are only taking one bag each. Does anyone know if you can request larger laundry bags then those smaller paper bags they give you in your closet area? Maybe we will have to send out laundry every other day and then the last day of the cruise make use of their self laundry facility on board since we will be spending a couple extra days in London after the cruise.

  8. Sailawayjack, question for you. We have also booked our shuttle through this company and were wondering about tipping for this servce. What is the standard tip amount for this service. First time in Rome for us and do you know of a local restaurant with good food. We will be staying at the Albergo Cesari for 3 days. Thank you.

  9. Leaving for a transatlantic cruise next October and know absolutely nothing about Rome. I don't know what is a good or bad location. I would like to ask fellow cruisers who have stayed in Rome what are some good hotels that have an elevator for a fairly reasonable price. Just don't know in which area to look at. Also what shuttles did you take to get from Rome airport to hotel. I appreciate any assistance regarding this.
