  1. I cannot believe I missed checking out your wonderful photos. You sure have a good eye for taking great shots.

One question, I think it is Noumea acquarium(could be wrong though) I think you will know the photo, it says "tributes' Do you know what that is about?

    Hi Karon,

Don't get on here that much anymore - think you can guess why ;);)

The Tributes Photo was for the large Groper Like fish they had in the Main Aquarium tank, he was found at the top of the tank (about a week or so before we got there) for no reason and he was kind of a National Icon (similar to Eric the Croc here???) and they were Tributes from School Kids left there saying they would miss him etc, it was quite sweet.

The trip to Aquarium was wonderful, if you go there any day aside from Monday (they are closed) you can catch the Bus to there and go through at your own leisure, we arrived on Mon and had to do the tour thru P&O and was kinda short and the Gift Shop was not open unfortunately, they only opened the Aquarium for us.

  2. Hi Palm Tree's,

The Pacific Dawn (formally Regal Princess) was built back in 1991, they maintain her all year round and when we docked at any wharf they were constantly painting or doing something all over the ship.

That being said no matter what you do when metal is subject to Salt Water and Spray it will always react. Although we were high up (Baja) we could still feel the spray from the Ocean on the Calm Days and the glass got quite a bit of Salt crusting on it, our Cabin Stewardess cleaned it off each day to give us a good view.

The Dobbie's had a wonderful time and enjoyed every Bingo Session they attended, they even bought us Luck in Winning!!! :D

  3. Hi everyone,

Here is an image from the recent Meet and Greet held on the Pacific Dawn voyage W905.

I was kindly given this image from the Ships Photo Gallery to place on here.

We had a great time, got to all the ports (YAY), Had good weather (most of the time) and it was great to put faces to names.

  4. I was just checking the schedules for Sydney and noted Queen Victoria and Arcadia as both being there on 20 Feb. On checking the times however QV sails out at 6.30 pm and Arcadia arrives at 8.30 pm for an overnight.

Wonder whats happens if QV is delayed or late leaving?

Wonder where they will pass each other?

In the harbour,or out at sea?

Queen Victoria 19-Feb-2009 06:00 (Thu) 20-Feb-2009 18:30 (Fri) Overseas Passenger Terminal

Arcadia 20-Feb-2009 22:30 (Fri) 21-Feb-2009 23:59 (Sat) Overseas Passenger Terminal

The Pacific Dawn also arrives and departs that day, (:( it's the day I come home) I am looking forward to seeing the Queen Victoria docked at the OPT as we swing around the Opera House.

Thanks Kiwi Kruzer for letting me know that the Arcadia is there as well!!!! whoo hooo what a day in the Harbour, almost makes it worthwhile to come back on that day - a BIG almost that is:D

  5. Great Idea thanks guys, have printed some of them off to make up my own list.

Just wanted to add that instead of the lanyard (can't stand anything around neck when hot sticky and sandy ) a fuel card holder that way your cruisecard was not "injured" when they punched a hole in it to attach to the Lanyard. As for the door key we simply took an old keyring Ring and attached to the many holes in the fuel card.Cliped on clothes with those convention badge clips made not taking a bag to dinner during formal nights easy.

Also found that the Soap they give you in the cabin is Horrid :eek: so will def be taking liquid soap and body wash (more hygenic too)

And couldn't agree more with the travel clocks that don't tick nothing more maddening than that in the middle of the night

Glen20 is a fab idea too - so many to mention
