Royal prices are running high but they seem to fill their ships. RCCL is our favorite line but the prices are a bit much, even w/ all of their bells and whistles. Booking early and shopping around pays off. I'm wondering if the original poster was booking a holiday week?

The Med is very port intense with long times in each port. I'd suggest a smaller, less expensive ship since you will spend so little time on the ship in Europe. When you are on the ship, you'll be dog tired and more likely to turn in early for the next 7am port.

Have cruised 25+ times and have never gotten a free upgrade. Not sure who they are upgrading.....

Am a coffee hound but during cruising, will often opt for flavored tea in the MDR if I want a beverage w/ dessert.

Just returned from Norwegian Epic and sorry to say, we were not thrilled w/ the ship nor the line. Full review pending--see review section. Will go back to our fav lines--RCCL, Princess and Celebrity.

Any chance that you have a listing of the Martinis offered by Princess? We had a delicious one (or two) on the Ruby but the name evades me.........
Allure, Indy, or Adventure

Granted, the Allure is AMAZING but I'd suggest the Indy for the cost savings, the ports and the ship's size. Allure, IMHO is almost too big. I didn't care for having to pre-schedule almost everything which takes away from doing what you want, when you want ---the heart of a good vacation.
