Good luck finding travelers checks at any bank in the US - we've asked at many of them. And forget AAA - which is where we used to get them.

From what I am being told...they have really fallen out of favor due to being so easy to counterfeit. We used to use them exclusively for our cash needs while cruising, we would just cash them at the pursers desk and then go ashore. I hate not being able to find them anywhere locally.

Thnx Travel Girl TX - I got an e-mail back from him, it sounds like an awesome day and a great way to circle the island. That is pretty cool. Can't make up my mind if I want something like this or to just be lazy and go to the beach. ;)

Hi Travel Girl TX - your day spent with Capt. Bob sounds awesome. Could you please tell me does he use a sailboat, or a power boat, or a catamaran?

Also, are you picked up in Phillipsburg by Capt. Bob or do you have to take a taxi somewhere to meet him?
