  1. Has anyone ever used Glory Tours before? What was the transportation like? Were they professional? I looked them up on Trip Advisor and they have good reviews but I was wondering if anyone has used them recently. Thanks all

  2. Just came back from Roatan and took a snorkeling excursion with Roatan Ocean Adventures if you are looking for a great snorkeling experience check them out. We did the 3 snorkel stop with a Beach Break. The snorkeling was fantastic and they made sure that everyone was having a good time. The snorkel guide took my camera and dove down to get some great pictures. We had one person that doesn't care to snorkel by the 3rd stop she was in the water with the rest of us having a great time. At the beach they let us determine how much time we wanted to be there. The beach area was really nice. After they made arrangements for us to stop and hold a sloth and some monkeys.

  3. We are going to be in Falmouth next month and were thinking about doing the Dolphin Cove swim with RCCL. I was wondering if anyone has done this before and would you recommend it? How long were you able to swim with the dolphins? Did you have enough time to walk around the cove, swim with stingrays & see the birds. The website says it's a 4 hour tour.

  4. We just returned yesterday and did the Island Getaway portion (although most on the boat did the sharks and snorkeling too) and absolutely loved it. Caye Caulker is amazing.....just really a cool place. The boat ride out was a bit of hell, but once we got there an the ride back was fantastic.

We did it through Coral Breeze tours.

Can I ask why the ride out was a bit of hell? What type of boat did you use? I'm not looking for exact just big or small. Also, how many people were on the excursion? Was it overcrowded? I ask the size of the boat because we were almost stranded one time taking the same type of tour. Just not with this company.

    Thanks!

  5. We went with Capt. Jerry a couple of years ago. It was great! Capt. Jerry was very professional and it was apparent that he loves what he does. We searched for awhile without seeing any whales, Capt. Jerry was so disappointed. Then all of a sudden we saw a family of Orcas. Normally they see Sperm Whales but this was about 8 to 10 Orcas (babies included). They were fabulous. Capt. Jerry was as excited to see the Orcas as we were. One even swam under our boat. It was a great day!

If you go, I hope you enjoy the trip as much as we did.

  6. We stayed there a couple of years ago & it was fabulous! They have a great swim up bar in the pool & it's right on the beach. They had a band that played some great salsa music. Our room was really nice. It was really really big & had a kitchenette overlooking the ocean. We really enjoyed it. If you want to go into Old San Juan you can catch the city bus. The bus stop isn't too far & I think it was only $2.00 or $3.00 dollars.

  7. I agree with Trisha1c. Last time we were in San Juan we dropped our bags at Barrichina's. It's a restaurant with a room off to the side where they keep your bags stored, so your bags are safe and secure. I'm not sure if they charged us $2.00 a bag or if we just gave them a tip. Like I said it's a restaurant so we decided to have lunch there & we had a great lunch!

Old San Juan is a very easy city to get around. They have a trolley that you can take to the forts if you want or if you are the walking type you can walk there easily although they are uphill so if you have any walking issues you may want to take the trolley. If I remember correctly it was a very small charge for the trolley. I wouldn't take a tour from the cruiseline (you can do it on your own) unless you wanted to go see the rainforest.

I hope you enjoy! Old San Juan is a wonderful city.

  8. Thank you so much. I am also afraid of heights. Several years ago when we were in Hawaii I decided to be brave so my hubby could zipline. I have found it was one way to confront the fear. My fear of heights is still there but it certainly has lessened since then.
