It isn't a reduced package for those that don't drink much, it is a replacement for the alcoholic package that doesn't include alcohol.

Right, and that replacement (non-alcohol) package is a lot less expensive than the alcohol package, making the total cost significantly less expensive overall.

    Phone captain club number

I just used their main number, and the agent I spoke with seemed very familiar, and knowledgeable about the request.

KROOZ NUT   Was there a specific phone # you used or did you have to pick a topic?    I am in a prime verandah cabin with my 14 & 16 year old grandchildren.

Just their customer service line connecting to one of their agents. Any one of them should be able to assist with this.

fixed also means you have to share with the same people whereas with Any Time we get to sit with different folk

As my wife has mobility and pain issues X always allows us to have the same table every night - i.e. we stay in the same place with the same wait staff and get 4 new table companions every night.

Not right or wrong just our personal preference.

Agree, no right or wrong. But I was just commenting on what I thought was your biggest concern with fixed dining, which seemed to be the timing (too early/too late). And if you prefer 6:30pm, my point was that early fixed at 6pm is only 30 mins different than what you prefer.
Sounds like you simply like Anytime for various reasons, not that fixed times are too early/too late, and that's great!

I would hope one would have enough couth not to wear sneakers that looked like you just finished mowing the lawn or went hiking through a muddy rainforest.

    I love your optimism 👍

Again, that may be so because you only quoted part of the conversation in my response.  Naturally without the full context of the conversation it may seem "convoluted and confusing".  You need to go back and read the whole thread to see the rest of the relevant comments which would then make the single part that you quoted be clear and make conversational sense.

Your current response implies to me that you have not yet done that, or you would see that your questioning of my comment is what is confusing.  I don't mind being quoted and commented on if it is done so accurately with the full context of the conversation.

I'll leave it at that, thanks!

If you read through the thread the response you reference was already addressed with the poster who quoted me and to whom I questioned being quoted. He answered and it was resolved.  It also did not involve you or any of your responses.

Not sure now why you have quoted just my original response to that with your vague question. You quoted my comments without the context of the full conversation.

Because your response that I quoted seemed convoluted and confusing, that's all.

Also both passengers in the cabin must get the package

This is what it says, but if one person in your party drinks and another doesn't, as is the case with us (DW doesn't drink, I do), you can call Celebrity and request that the non-drinking person be allowed to purchase the less expensive (non-alcohol) package instead of the alcohol package, and they will arrange it for you.

For our next sailing on Summit, I have the premium alcohol package, and DW has the basic non- alcohol package. It only took one simple phone call to customer service to set it up, and they were very accommodating. But you do have to make the phone call, as it's not advertised they will do this, because of course they're counting on you not to be aware of this, and to just buy the alcohol package for both persons (as the rules read).
Saved us over $400 for our sailing..

Not sure why you have quoted me with this response. My comment was not needing a confirmation of the dress code, but was in response to a comment indicating that one has seen a dress code enforced.  To which I was asking what they saw enforced.  To which they subsequently responded.

    Huh? 🤔

I specifically asked about clean nice sneakers

This seems like a very subjective and frankly vague description. Can you describe what you mean by 'clean, nice sneakers'?

I'm genuinely curious about what this really is, so I can pack accordingly..

In reading Cruise Critic’s  review of Celebrity Eclipse,  I was surprised to see that T-shirts , tank tops and flip-flops are not allowed in the main dining room at any time?

And two evenings on a seven night cruise are “ chic “nights where men are supposed to have a sport coat.

    Is this strictly enforced?

    Hope so..

We always have Any Time - prebooked for 6.30 (Fixed times are too early or too late).

We always share tables ideally a table of 6 - we eat as a couple at home every day and sharing tables at dinner is one of the reasons we cruise.

If you prefer 6:30, 6pm fixed (early) is too early? We're talking 30 mins here. We have 6pm fixed (early) for our next sailing on Summit, which is perfect. And a table for six has been requested..

A little late to the party??

It's all over and done with.

"The state will not pursue criminal charges against a cruise ship after it was reportedly “too close” to Kauai’s Na Pali Coast earlier this month.

DLNR officials say they “failed to find evidence” that the celebrity cruise line ship actually violated a state rule requiring it remain at least 3,000 feet from shore."

Better late than never, and I stand by my original statement here.

Like I said this is all just shocking to me that the captain wouldn’t know the restrictions. There’s also a factor of common sense…?

    1) So now, passengers aren't feeling as gracious and ready to change their plans / excursions without some sort of truth (and OBC 🤣).

This is really all that needed to be said here, looking for compensation as usual. They shouldn't hold their breath on that..

Walk away and try it tomorrow. Plenty of time. Even if the app is still FUBR for you your boarding process might be delayed by only a few minutes.

Wrong answer.. need to address it as it's happening. If you're not getting any any response from Royal, then that's an issue. Especially if you have a pending cruise, it is unsatisfactory.

That being said, After spending 30 mins on the phone with them today, they ended up resetting my password, which worked, and I'm good to good now.

But, your answer of 'ho humm, just wait a day or two' doesn't cut it in our situation.

It took proactive action on my part to fix it. Now, if I didn't have anything booked for a year or two, I might agree with your lackadaisical attitude toward this issue, but not here.

  16. Now it's telling me that my login ID and/or password is incorrect, ''you have 'x' many tries to login before you will need to reset your password". I double checked ID/password, and I'm positive they are correct.

This is so frustrating.. I wouldn't be stressing so much, but we sail next Friday, and I'd like to be able to use the app to finish the check-in process as Royal urges us to do.
