Anyone else going on the Carnival Horizon out of NYC on July 11 2019? We're Rich and Tim (48 and 43) from Staten Island, NY. We're together almost 25 years and have a 5 1/2 year old daughter. This will be our 13th and her 3rd cruise. This sailing is our 9th on Carnival.

For us, this cruise is going to be a balance between the family fun and those moments when we can have some adult fun (i.e. casino, shows, clubs, etc) while she's at Camp Carnival (or is it Ocean?)

Anyway, we're looking forward to meeting other GLBT passengers (single, coupled or otherwise) on this cruise! :D

Who else will be on the July 18-26th sailing out of NYC?

We're Rich and Tim (47 and 42) from Staten Island, NY. We're together almost 24 years and been on 11 cruises since 1997 (mostly Carnival but have done two Princess cruises, one Norwegian and one Royal).

We are parents of a little girl who is now 4 1/2 . We took her on her first cruise (Emerald Princess) just after she turned a year old and another when she was 2 1/2 (Carnival Breeze). Last year, we sailed on the NCL Gem out of NYC. We're returning to Carnival on the Sunshine (which we last sailed when it was the Destiny, in 1998).

Needless to say cruising is a totally different kind of experience with her compared to when it was just us and went mostly our friends. Since our daughter is "older" and can appreciate Camp Carnival, we anticipate having some "adult fun" by going to the shows, casino, bars, club, etc. while still making time for her to do all of the fun, family stuff with us.

My partner and I have been cruising since 1997 when I was 23 and he was 26. Most of our cruises have been on Carnival although we have done Princess, NCL and Norwegian. We have gone alone and with friends and have never had a problem at all with the staff and the vast majority of passengers on Carnival.

Fast forward to 2017: we have a 4 1/2 year old daughter who has been on three cruises with us: her first cruise (Emerald Princess) just after she turned a year old. When she was 2 1/2 we were on the Carnival Breeze and they treated her and us wonderfully! Last year (2016) we did the Norwegian Gem out of NYC. (Not a fan of Norwegian) and in 9 days, we'll be on the Carnival Sunshine out of NYC for her fourth cruise.

We're aboard also. We're 39 and 43 years old and we have two other friends coming with us (44 & 41) and some other friends (all straight). This cruise is very different for us as we have a 1 year old daughter who will be traveling with us.
