Boating the ship in less than a month! I look forward to meeting you.
It will be fun. Can't wait to explore the new class ship.

Great! i look forward to meeting you. I'm cruising transatlantic on Navigator of the Seas, arriving in Miami on Nov. 23. I will get a ride to Fort Lauderdale and board the Koningsdam later that day.
See you on the ship!

Hi Glenn, I'm also on this cruise except I'm doing the 21 day. Looking forward to sailing the Koningsdam.

And you need to do some thinking about whether you want to really get spiffy for only two nights...or not.
Jim
Mr. Jim, hope all is well with you and Karen. Just booked the Koningsdam 11/23 for 21 days. You and Karen come with (promise won't call you mud) [emoji12][emoji12]

I mailed my passport renewal on Sept. 13 and got the new passport back on Sept. 22. Didn't pay for any special or expedited handling or mail service. I was amazed at how fast it was processed. Just throwing this out there for anyone renewing their passport.
Just went into the online check-in for my December cruise on the Eurodam and updated my passport information.

Good to know. Thanks for sharing.

Have a couple questions regarding the lifeboat drill on the Paradise.
1: do you bring your life jacket to the drill?
2: is it held indoors or out on deck?
3: If doing a B2B do you have to attend both?
Thanks for your input.

In February I was on HAL Zuiderdam and we did have noro on board. If you wanted S&P you were handed paper packets.
-
Just checked our roll call for that cruise (Zuiderdam - January 25) and we were on the same ship. The MDR was DEFINITELY open that day and I still have the receipt for a bottle of Moet & Chandon Brut to prove it ;)
Did we ever have the meet and greet? I thought it was scheduled for the day in half-moon Cay. Went to the crows nest at four and there was another event going on. Perhaps I missed something.
-
We just returned also from the Zuiderdam Panama Canal cruise (early February, maybe just before you) and the MDR was definitely open for us on embarkation day
Sailed on the January 25th and also on the February 5th sailing. The January 25th we didn't board until 2pm or so, so might have missed it. If it was available for February 5 it was not advertised. I did feel that the food on the Zuiderdam was excellent.

Hi,
My husband, parents and I are going on the Zuiderdam on March 18 through the Panama Canal.
We are all 2 star Mariner's although my DH and I will hit 3 star on this cruise, although I know we don't get any additional perks until the next cruise.
I heard that they do not offer the Mariner's luncheon any more on embarkation day. Besides the Lido is there anywhere else that is available to us for lunch? Don't know if it makes a difference but we have 2 Neptune suites.
My parents are 94 and 95 years young and the Mariner's luncheon was always a nice way to start the cruise with out it being too busy.
Also, do they still offer the luncheon at the end of the cruise for Mariner's? I forget what it was called but it was a sit down dinner and usually you got a gift. On the Eurodam it was a ceramic square with the picture of the Eurodam on it. Thanks!
Just returned from a B2B on the Zuiderdam and lunch in the MDR was not an option on embarkation day [emoji17].

The Oosterdam had them this past October.

I haven't seen bread pudding mentioned recently. Is it still being served ?It was some of my favorite desserts.
Marcia
Was on the Oosterdam from 10/16 - 11/6 and they served it most days in the lido for lunch.
-
Our last cruise was in February and our next is 201 days away! Feel free to brag if you don't have to wait as long as I do.
Last cruise was June on HAL Veendam. 15 days until the Norwegian Getaway, then October 16th on HAL Oosterdam. [emoji1]

Are you serious? I called CAS to ask that exact question and they said I have to use special phone number. Been on hold for 90 mins. I am all for NCL cruising to new ports but their CS really needs an upgrade.
Still on hold after an hour using that special phone number[emoji20]

Yes, you can request a coffee maker or a hot pot for tea. I have never had a issue getting one from the steward.
Thanks for the quick reply- have a great holiday weekend.
-
Does anyone know if you can request a coffee maker staying in and ocean view or interior?
-
Thanks for the review.

Very nice, thanks for sharing.

Have a great time!!

Yes they are required....
We brought ours last month on the Regal.
Thanks for the reply.

I know there was a thread not long ago regarding changes to muster drill and some ships didn't require to bring lifejackets. Has anybody recently been on the Regal Princess and if so were lifejacket required at the drill? Thanks for your help.

Why a Cabana?
in Holland America Line
Posted
We really enjoyed the retreat cabanas on the Eurodam a couple years back. Here are a few things we liked best
1. Relaxing in a secluded area that's not overcrowded
2. Service from the cabana attendance was excellent.
3. We enjoyed the amenities that came with the cabana such as free bottled water, sparkling wine, fresh fruit plates, chocolate covered strawberries and gelato.
4. Loved the fact that they would provide you with lunch menus and deliver your items right to your cabana - which is perfect when you want to avoid the Lido chaos.
These are just a few things that we really enjoyed about the cabana. Booked the cabana for 21 days on the Koningsdam sailing 23rd of November. Really looking forward to being spoiled [emoji847]
