Did the Boston to Florida Cruise for over Decades, very popular with Upper Tier C&A. Diamonds would get Crown Lounge and/or 3 Lounges, D+ would get the Diamond Lounge. Lot on longer Sailings have similar, though as already said is "usually" just for Happy Hour

Winner of the worst cruise of the season!
Atlantic in February is nothing you want to do!
Princess had one in February of this year and outside decks were closed due to weather 11 out of 14 days....
Done lot of Oct/Nov Cruises out of NE, many more during peak Hurricane Season chasing named storms. Typical have the Sea Sick bags out around Ship on at least few days on Majority my Cruises. I actually enjoy the ride with feel of being on a water and why all my Cruises last dozen yrs been on smaller Ships. Shoot even Panama Canal Cruise last Fall we ended up with 8 straight Sea Days due to rough seas and a named storm. Not everyone is a Sun worshiper

9256?
Was too slow. Been watching for release daily all yr but for Serenade, Oops! Do have Radiance PC B3B this Oct in 9256. Also next Spring doing Jewel B4B had to settle for 8168 since dont like to change Cabins, they also dont have the $$$ up charge for Sunset Balcony Cabin that Oct2025 Radiance has. Was a Good Day overall, 3 more Cruises had major reductions, saved $1700 today alone. 5 my Bookings offering Military Discounts. Called Royal, took all of 21min total time Dialing to hangup and he was very Knowledgeable. Felt like today was Christmas!

Planning a cruise on the Navigator of the seas during Halloween. Was wondering if they do a costume party or anything on the ship? We are big Halloween fans . Any info would be very helpfull .
Been on other Ships, doing longer 10+ Sailings and 25% would Dress up. 6 these Cruises Costume Contest, 3 times had a Haunted House. Other Ships and shorter Sailings not sure though

Radiance is up.
8-night Pacific Coastal from Vancouver to San Diego on 26 September.
16-night Panama Canal from San Diego to Fort Lauderdale on 4 October. Prices look sensible.
Thereafter, 3- and 4-nighters out of Fort Lauderdale.
Booked the PC Cruise yesterday, wasnt sure how long it'd been out

My favorite thing ever came about because of the pandemic....the E-Muster Drill!
Download the app, then on the day of your cruise, the drill will unlock. Open it on route to the ship, watch the videos, and report to the Muster Station where they'll verify you watched the videos, scan your phone, and then after a quick bee-boop, you're on your way.
Yup and doing B2B and longer last few Cruises only had to show up to Muster on first leg. Morning of Changeover while waiting rest passengers get off they scan our new Card and done. Just walk off, back on and straight back to my Cabin

Extras yes, Drink packages, Shore Excursions, yes. But long as isnt new Ships like Icon I'm still finding Deals and reductions on multiple Ships and Sailings, just knocked another $1800 off my Mar-Apr 2024 B3B sailings. Also 2 of the 3 were offering Military Discounts

The DP340 is a big deal for me too. Though I hardly gamble so no freebies. But the solo supplement is why I pick royal.
Agree, with the DP340 and about 1/3 time getting Military Discounts rare that other lines could beat Royal Rates on get

Some have reported opening their suitcase, laying it open, and then storing it under the bed. They are able to use the suitcase as a laundry hamper as well. Slide it like out a drawer and thrown in the dirty clothes and slide it back.
Thanks but no these older soft side Sets the Wheel Base sits out so opening them doesnt help.

Bag/Bags of Linen are always under my Bed during Cruise, been this way since Pre-CV. My Luggage is too thick and does fit anyway, it's the style with spinner wheels sticking out, so it goes in the Closet

Did travel insurance cover it? My niece the same on NCL and they charged. Not just the cruise but quarantine on land. Luckily the insurance reimbursed.
No, during CV and startup Cruise Line was doing this long as Symptoms were similar to or were CV.

Our very first cruise 2 people (not traveling together) taken off the ship for medical emergencies. After that we always get insurance. It also helps if you have medical problems at home and can’t go on the cruise. Unfortunately we have had to use it twice on cruises we booked. But we got our money back that enabled us to go at a later time. But I don’t think $2,500 is so bad for three visits to the infirmary.
Agree. Imagine if the cost if was a Hospital ER. My Daughter was Lucky Financially getting sick on 2 Different Cruises during post Covid startup 2021 & 2022. Bad Virus and other one was a Sinus Infection. Each time Quarantined for couple days of Neg CV tests, Initial Infirmary Visits, Meds inc Antibiotic and Daily Cabin Visits by Nurse, was no Charge for anything. Plus Free Room Service, though we Brought her Dinner from Main Dinning after we ate, plus she and her Family was issued 2 days and 3 Days refund from their Cruise even though was just her staying put in the Cabin

Guessing this will be more of an issue for pinnies matching to X and crowding the retreat lounge than the other way around, last I heard there was < 1k zeniths. No idea how many are on RCL, but guessing at least 5x that.
Few yrs ago there was list how many Pin's, I'd say it's pushing at least 8-10K by now.

Yes they have Skier...I know of one personally, well incidentally anyways. On Grand Princess sailing out of the Galveston port as it was just getting dark going into the Gulf, my best friend and her 2 daughters witnessed a rescue of a couple who were completely nude when they hauled them in, they were unharmed she said but many witnessed this...obvious what happened.😲
I found a news item, it was 2007:
Hey it was mentioned on Cruise Critic too:
I remember that one, sitting on the Railing, falling over pulling the other with them

We always ask the room steward to get rid of the bathrobes, they just take up space in the cabin 🙂
True, made Diamond back in the 90's haven't wore a robe yet. Havent had share a Cabin in 22yrs so for me the 340+ Solo Discount guarantees I stay with Royal. With Low to no status on other lines Rare that any could match prices/Discounts I receive

Sailing on Symphony May 31st - June 7th to the Bahamas. Looks like the whole cruise and ports is going to be overcast and raining. I know they can't control the weather but does this make the inside part of the ship more crowded? Do they close the ports? the pool? This just.......sucks, I've worked two jobs and so hard to hard this nice trip and poopy weather happens.
You might be surprised, lot times short showers and when possible Capt will steer around small cells or speedup/slowdown. That said where live now it never snows and we get average 330 days of sunshine. ...Enjoy Your Cruise!

If you don't feel like lugging the cup around all the time, you could break it, to get to the RFID tag in the bottom. Then you could stick it on an old hotel card with magnetic strip (not the cruise card, as it probably interferes with the RFID chip in that card) and just get the regular glasses they have near the soda machines anyways.
Just be careful when breaking the cups, don't cut yourself.
Funny thing is 4 Royal Ships been on last 10yrs on 1 had the actual Freestyle pop machines, other 3 you had get the cup filled at the Bars

On the other hand, I don’t miss those cheap single color cups they used for a few months a year or so ago.Mean the ones look like get at an amusement park? Seen some those off/on from 2021-last fall.

I miss the old cups from decade ago that held cold and hot drinks, though they held about 12oz instead of 16

The OP doesn’t say where they were sailing to, which may make a difference.
I was talking to a guest once on Royal returning with a bike in Nassau, ( I believe). The guest in Nassau said bikes are regularly taken on European cruises but I can’t confirm whether that was on Royal or not. I have seen bike charters advertised on American River cruises (definitely not Royal!)
I have certainly read blogs where people have taken bikes in board.
Yes, seen many Videos posted River Cruises where the Line has 50 Bikes to use on stops or Bike Excursions

I can't say I've ever seen someone with a bike on a cruise.
80s was nothing see 50 Passengers carrying on Golf Club. 90's at times see handful to about dozen Bikes brought on some Cruises, last 20yrs, nope!

Over a 6 month period I had 5, 515 and 530 all on same Ship on different Cruises, the 5 and 515 were a B2B

I just received this response from the executive office:
We reserve the right to correct errors in both advertised and confirmed prices and will do so as soon as we become aware of the error. Please note changes and errors occasionally occur and we do apologize for any frustrations with this.I Just checked online and the price is the same cheaper price than I saw several days ago. How much time do they need to become aware of and change?About 8yrs ago when the following years Sailings were being released Royal site listed Suites REALLY cheap, I remember seeing a 2Bed/2BA was cheaper then a Balcony. Bunch people jumped on them, some paid in Full thinking if Company found out they'd let them keep the Cabins at the lower prices. NOPE! They found out and Royal gave everyone a Choice who Booked these Suites, either pay thousands more or cancel Bookings. Was then many realized Royal had people watching Cruise Critic, reading the long thread on the mistake on Suite Prices

Saw someone after caught sharing a package with his supposed Non-Drinking Wife and Daughter in another Cabin. He was repriced and charged a Ton for each Drink consumed by all of them. Every Alcoholic, Soda Pop, Juice and water bottle. This was pre-CV when a his single package was cheap. He was Loud and Pis+ed!
