  1. I have tried to find the answer to this question but so far haven't found anything.  We aren't going on our cruise until next April but are probably going to be getting the Cheers Package.  My question is when I go to the website, it says purchase prior to sailing and save up to 10% vs. purchasing onboard.  Everything I have read says it is $59.95 per day ($70.74 with service charges added) so is it more than $59.95 if you sign up onboard?

Can yo go to the Bacardi factor and just look around and buy Bacardi and not take a tour?

Yes.  They have a big permanent tent with a bar that you can get drinks and a gift shop.

We just did the tour a couple weeks ago. We took an Uber to the Bacardi facility. After our tour was done, we took an Uber to the ferry port and took the ferry over to Old San Juan for $.75. Cool ride over.

If you cruise out of the same port we did, there's not an easy way to get to ferry from there. You could take an Uber to Old San Juan and take the ferry from there, or simply Uber directly to the facility.

    How much was the Uber?

  4. Hi everyone!

For those that have taken the Bacardi Tour, how did you get there from the cruise port?  I have read there is a ferry but once you get across the water, there are no taxis to take you there and it is 2 miles.  Just trying to plan ahead so we know what to expect.

    Thanks!

Understood.  I'm just yelling at a cloud, in essence, about the silliness of taking anything you see online seriously, especially from platforms like that, but really any source, even official newspaper/media sites, should be questioned if it sounds outlandish.

But if it's online, it must be true! BAHAHAHA

Ah, the other platform of mis-information.  Almost nothing posted as a "true story" is true on that platform, from what I gather.  It seems to be a place that attracts those that demand self-actualization through attention, at any cost.

If someone posted that water was wet and the sun would rise tomorrow, I'd suddenly have suspicions...

I don't even have tiktok but I saw the video and was asking more about the fact the s&s cards not being given to you at checkin.

Well, there's your problem.  Anyone can say anything.  "I saw the Loch Ness Monster playing the slots while we were still in port!  That's not allowed!"

The only things you can buy in the casino before it gets to international waters are drinks, as far as I know.

I understand what you are saying.  I was actually just confirming our cards would not be given to us at check in.

  8. It's been since 2015 since I have cruised and my husband and I are going on the Celebration next month.  When I cruised before, when you checked in on line, you added your credit card you were going use for your sail & sign then. When you got to the port, they gave you your s&s cards then to use.   If you wanted to add cash, you would just go to guest services to do that.  I read a post yesterday on a different site that said their sail & sign cards were put in their mail boxes outside their doors and apparently someone stole her aunt's cards and used them to spend  money in the casino and also bought drinks with it.  So my question is do we get our s&s cards before we board? Or will they be in an envelope outside our room? How do you get a drink if you don't have your s&s card? Thanks!

Well, what kind of comfortable shoes do you wear at home?

At home, I usually go barefoot. LOL  At work, I don't walk much so comfortable shoes isn't an issue.  When I do walk for exercise, I wear tennis shoes.  I was hoping someone would recommend a comfortable sandal.

  10. It has been over 7 years since I have cruised.  I am going the Celebration in April and want to know if you use a lanyard for your sail & sign card.  My husband has never cruised and I don't know if he will be keen on wearing one.  If you don't use a lanyard, how do you keep up with your sail & sign card?  And if you do wear one, where did you get it? Thanks!

  11. We are coming to St Thomas in April on the Celebration.  My husband was in the Navy many moons ago and went to St. Thomas and went to the Green House restaurant while there.  Can anyone tell me how close this restaurant is to the port?  Has anyone ever eaten there? Thanks!
