Epic currency exchange

Hi quick question on currency exchange. Does anyone know if the Epic's ATM will dispense US $ or Euro's during our Meditterranean cruise? Also, if it is US$ will they exchange at the purser? Is the ships exchange rate competitor or it is better to exchange at the airport?
