  1. Thanks everyone with your advice.  I have been in touch with Seabourn via my TA, they have advised that suitable supply of small water bottles will be available once on board.....that was quick.

I did come up with another idea which I do at home and that is....very small amount of salt in bottle and filled with boiled water. Obviously wait until it is cold before use.  I could have used this plan on board using the hot water in the eateries.  Sometimes the simplest way to so often forgotten.

I do not drink the water but have to flush my artificial bladder daily.........too much information!!

Since your cruise embarks in just a few days it would be wise for you and/or your TA to advise Seabourn ASAP that this is a needed medical accommodation (not just a preference request) to best ensure they have adequate supply of what you need earmarked for your use. Additionally, the onboard purified water is delivered in unsealed, reusable bottles, so it's likely not usable for your medical purpose.

Thanks Robisan, I've managed to get in touch with my TA, he'll check with Seabourn tomorrow. This is the first cruise with Seabourn and I wasn't aware of this supplied water in large containers. Most of the time I cruise with Azamara and they supply small sealed plastic bottles. May be the way forward is to reduce plastic is using these large refillable bottles.  Hopefully my request will be resolved.

    Thanks once more.

The suite water is purified on the ship. Which may or may not be to your liking.  You can ask for commercial bottled water.  FYI, last year our ship ran out because Australia wouldn't allow them to load bottled water in Carins.

Thanks for the info, highplanesdrifters. good to know I can get commercial bottled water

  4. First cruise with Seabourn coming up this Sunday and I notice in the suites water is supplied in large bottles. Are smaller bottles obtainable? I suffer from a medical condition and require to 'flush' myself twice a day with purified water but I only use a third of the bottled water, once the bottle is opened I cannot chance its purity.

  5. Good morning

This will be our first cruise on Seabourn and our first cruise to the Caribbean this coming January.

My question is for those who have travelled to this part of the world is............what vaccinations are mandatory?

Our cruise is a 14 nighter sailing from Barbados and return

    Thanking you all in anticipation

  6. There is strange atmosphere on board, staff doing a good job keeping guests entertained, though no information coming our way.

Santorini tomorrow but that could be in doubt.

There seems that the Greek press are pointing the finger at the ship which could be the reason that we are not allowed on shore for obvious reasons

  7. Thanks for your help, I have dumped all cookies and ditched Azamara co.uk for Azamara.com, system is working ok now.

Also received by return an explanation from the AzamaraCustomerServiceUK that the website is going through a lot of updates and this could cause some interruption in the normal systems.  So given time the web site will become a huge improvement.

Now I can get on with future planning and excursions.

  8. Has anyone else had problems with not being able to 'log in' on their account?  It is refusing to accept my username/password and it does't let me have the option of changing theses details.

Our cruise is not until June so plenty of time to get it sorted but it's playing on my mind.

  9. I made a new booking 4 days before the deal came out.  On my request my (new) TA got in touch with Azamara to see if the new offer could be awarded.  Azamara have actually said I can have the $1000 total OBC but it would cost me £124 extra in total cruise costing.  It was still free money whatever way you look at it.

  10. Back to the can of worms.............the situation now is that my TA has said they have been in touch with me through one of their sales reps under the name of ******* and they consider the matter over, they are not being generous with the truth. No one has phoned me and I don't consider the matter over with.

It doesn't help when (like many cruisers), due to Covid, planned cruises were booked and then cancelled or moved over to a later cruise with the same booking reference number.  Luckily the TA has the information of what cruise this debacle relates to, but they are resisting to give me the details.

The position now is to keep on being a pain in the butt and continue emailing the TA for the information (what cruise is this being referred to) until I've received the information requested, so I can identify the ATOL payment which is the crux of this matter.

  11. Thanks everyone in their separate responses back to me.  Just to reiterate the admin fee of £200 has been deducted and I'll live with that, the ATOL deduction of £150 is a different matter which I am still enquiring about (without much luck so far!!). ATOL has replied to me but it's a drawn out auto response email not offering me any specific help.  I need to dig further and eventually find a senior contact at my TA.  I will not give up.

To 'welshfamily', for your interest my TA is also from Chorley, Lancashire🤔🤔

  12. Thanks Riocca, it does seem they are squeezing very drop of blood from us.  I didn't mention before but with the £150 ATOL fee lost , I was also losing £200 for cancellation fees on the same b2b, that is £50 per person per cruise.  I've lost trust with this longstanding TA and have moved my wallet to another

  13. This may open up a can of worms but I am at odds with my UK Travel agent (based near Manchester) charging a fee of £150 as a non-refundable fee against a cruise moved to a later date and within the Cruise with Confidence parameters.

I believe the customers contribution per person to ATOL is £1.50 which is charged to the customer by the TA, also quoted...... “if your package holiday includes flights you will be provided with an ATOL certificate as soon as you have paid for your holiday”.

This was not the case as booking flights were way over the horizon to book and no route had been clarified. So no final figure had been paid apart from the deposit.

Any thoughts from our learned legal eagles

A few thoughts, are you trying to access your account through Azamara.co.uk using the side menu? As that hasn’t worked for me for ages, I use the account header on the home page which takes me to Azamara.com then everything works ok.
I’m using Safari on an iPad running iOS 15 which I was told by an Azamara rep is a problem as the website is not optimised for Safari saying I should use Google Chrome instead.
Only problem I have had is I can’t book shore excursions for my May cruise on Onward which Azamara blames on Safari although we have 4 other bookings and I can book Shorex for all of those no problem.

The Azamara website is still running with the RCG software which we know is not without its shortcomings.

Many thanks Riocca, problem resolved.  Dumped Azamara.co.uk and used .com but still on Safari.

    You are a star

  15. I can enter My Account but that’s as far as it will take me.  All available ‘boxes’ i.e Upcoming Cruises and Cruise Planner etc are frozen, even my Loyalty points are not up to date.

With a B2b voyage coming up I need to make sure all is ok with my account.

Is anyone else having the same problem and if so, have you managed to sort it?

  16. Having committed to a B2B cruise from Venice to Athens, my thoughts are now turning to the obvious….what is the departure port???

I’m aware San Basilio (Venice) is not accepting cruise ships,  my thoughts then turned to Trieste whether they are taking on the burden but my TA has entered yet another contender, that being Ravenna with flights landing at Bologna!!

Twenty four hours later I was informed that as per Azamara’s current itinerary it states Venice will be the departure port but not San Basilio but rather at the Porto Marghera industrial complex.  Maybe not as bad as it seems as transfers to Venice start quite close to the causeway bridge linking the two.

I'm confused, is there anyone out there with better advice than what my TA has?

    Thanks

Thanks for the info,  the ship's post cruise  'deep clean' has different connotation to what I would expect and I wouldn't choose to look under the bed!!  No thanks, we'll have to move to another cruise.
