  1. Yes, there is a shuttle to downtown. Actually there are about 3 ways to get downtown. The quickest way is via taxi, that is also the most expensive way.

The least expensive way, but probably the slowest also, is via a city bus. To get to the bus, you will exit the terminal building and walk through the bus lot in front of the building, pass the large gray building which will be in front of you and continue straight ahead to the overpass which you will see directly in front of you. As you near the overpass, you will notice a set of stairs leading to the overpass. Climb those stairs and there will be a bus stop right where you reach the road across the overpass. (Might want to make sure you've got some cash that is smaller than a $5 bill as I've been told that they don't have to have change for larger bills. I don't know if that is true or not.)

Probably the best way is to exit the terminal building, walk straight ahead under the right hand covered walkway to the fence at the far end of the bus lot (just short of where the large gray building I mentioned above) there are 2 shuttle buses that run to downtown from there. One is for crew members and one is for non-crew members. They are run by a mariners' charity (seaman mariners, not baseball Mariners! :p) and will provide you with round-trip transportation to a location in downtown Seattle. They do request a $5 donation to help pay for the cost of providing the shuttle service. The shuttle runs every 15 minutes from 8:45am to 2:15pm. The drop off location downtown is at the corner of 6th Avenue and Stewart St I believe.

    Hope this helps.
