Thanks for your review. Love it. I love chicken strips and am happy to hear I can order them off the childrens menu. Many times I have asked my waiter for things not on the menu like fried pork chops, chicken noodle soup, oso buco, white rice, etc. They have always accommodated us. They delivered the pork chops on a platter for everyone to have some. My husband had alzheimers and sometimes was sharp with the waiters. He couldn't understand why he had to wait to eat as others were ordering. Every nite there was a bowl of chicken noodle soup at his seat. They took such good care of him. I think that Princess has the best wait staff over and above any other line. If you don't see anything you really want, ask. The pork chops and oso buco was ordered the nite before. Enjoy, they are there for you.

I never thought of using Command hooks, but I wonder how many times they can be used before the adhesive becomes no longer is effective.

Command Hook adhesive is a one time use only item. The company is finally selling separate packs of the tape. The hooks can be reused. To make them stick, need to clean the wall with a bit of rubbing alcohol, we use prepackaged alcohol wipes.

Luv the main dining room for all meals. Luv to get waited on. Luv that the food is hot. Luv the attention the waiters give you and the suggestions. Luv that it is not crowded like the buffet. Luv the fresh brewed coffee. LUV IT:cool:;p:D

Do the grills by the pools do any cooking of other items like ribs, chicken, etc at night. Someone mentioned this and I wondered if it was Princess or another cruise line.

my cruise ins comes out to just under 400.00 for a 15 day cruise. that's about average. the trip interruption is the one needed also medivac. credit cards take care of everything else. my sister used princess travel ins when she passed out at the airport. princess ins reimbursed all but the ins price. my friends doctor said no cruise when she got pneumonia. princess ins paid all back but the ins. my cousin had open heart surgery an princess ins paid all back but the ins fee. my best bet is princess ins.

Put yourself in a position on the ship. You are a background worker. You work hard for not only keeping your job but for any additional monies you would like to make. As a pizza cook or hamburger slinger, a laundrey person, keeping things clean etc you are not only doing your job but your job helps the others who get tipped. Any additional percentage however small makes my salary a little better and is greatly appreciated. Keeping the daily toke is easy and simply inexpensive. You tip $2 room service every meal, thats $6 per day, thats half of the daily fee. For 1 person but are not satisfied in keeping the $12 or ? Daily fee that takes care of everyone even the roomservice person. I tip the daily fee and give additional monies to those who i believe has made my vacation wonderful. From the smile to the opening of the door to the buffet workers both out and behind the counters. Had i taken a hotel vacation and ate out every meal my tips per day would be much higher. Middle of the ship is good. Lower floors are just as good. Inside is good so you dont actually see the motion. Most people get seasick on any motion ride. Went to universal studios and did a ride where we actually did not move but the surroundings did. Started to get queezy looked at the floor of my car and it went away. Car was stationary. Same with ship room. Indoors you dont see that motion. Table away from window. That could do it also. Good luck

never had a problem on plaza deck. island is going into drydock in apr 2015. guess that's when international café will be installed.

from the west coast I see the fares are running just over $300 one way. hoping fares come down.

so the cost of the package is all you pay if you order by the glass.?

I lost my husband one month ago and although our situatiions are not the same, mine suffered for many years with alzheimers and we did do a cruise oct. 2012. it wasn't the greatest but we were together. I decided to book this cruise with my daughter and several friends and I know deep in my heart that this would be something he would like me to do. I know there will be difficult moments, tears welling up in the eyes, quiet moments alone, missing the person with whom you spent many years together but al in all, this time for you with the kids will be a bonding experience of both happiness and sadness. I know my time will be both of these. Sorry for your loss and hope you do continue with your plans.

You will have one lucky child because you can relate stories in such a way to keep people interested. You are an amazing young lady. Bless you both for taking the time to create a warm and wonderful review. Everything is not perfect and it is a special person to be able to adjust to life as it is. Good, bad or indifferent you go along and accept the things that are and try to help that which is not. We will be doing this same cruise next month and i too am one who makes do with what is handed to me. I love your pictures and especially the food ones as i am picky and won't order what i do not know. Thru you and your pictures i can see what these dishes are and i feel free to order some of these. Traditional for us. I love it when the waiters remember you. Remember what you drink, how you like different things. We had an experience where our waiter on the Alaska cruise remembered us when we cruised Mexico about 5 mos later. He had transferred over and when he saw us he was so delighted. Imagine our surprise that he remembered us. He said we had such a wonderful family and he enjoyed us as much as we enjoyed him.

guess she means the Sterling Steakhouse. Crown grills are on the refurbished ships. Sapphire has not yet been refurbished.

You mentioned brewed coffee in the lobby bar. Is there a charge for this? During discussion some say yes and some say no. You only have the liquid coffee in the buffet free all other coffee has a charge.
