  1. Aft facing has always been my favorite cabins. You can look out and see the wake. They are also just below the aft bar and the buffet if they want a drink or food to take down to their balcony. Other than when you go to the shows almost everything they would want is in the aft section of the ship. Dinning room entrances are aft. I see aft as the perfect location.

  2. Last year we were sailing on the Celebrity Summit.

     

    We went to the store at the Pier and bought a few bottles of our liking. The gentleman at the store told us to put it in our carry on, our checked luggage was already gone.

     

    He said that when you go through xray they will put a sticker on your carry on that announces to the screeners at the ship door that your carry on contains alcohol.

     

    He told us to remove the sticker and no one will do a thing.

     

    It was in my carry on, my hubby got behind me and took the sticker off as we were walking towards the gang plank.

     

    We got on with our alcohol (not wine) with no problems.

     

    I also wanted to note that this was the only time that we ever had to do anything about getting alcohol on board, previous years we have just walked right on the ship with it in our carry on with absolutely no problems, so they are tightening things up in regards to taking alcohol on board.

  3. another .9 lbs down this week.

     

    I will take any loss I get.

     

    Would have been more if I hadn't had a huge dinner out with friends that included cocktails, appetizers, entree, and dessert.

     

    Hmmm, I have got to stop those weekend entertainment meals or I will loss all the progress I have made in the week and half.

  4. Ok, I started doing My Fitness Coach for 45 minutes on Wednesday.

    Since Wednesday I have lost 1.5 lbs.

     

    17 weeks until my cruise leaves.

     

    Beginning Goal lose 20 lbs.

    Amount to lose to achieve goal -18.5 lbs.

    Week l - down 1.5 lbs.

     

    I am happy with my progress this week. I think bumping my workouts to 45 minutes instead of 30 minutes is the way to go for me.

     

    Looking forward to seeing the results of others!

  5. Ok, I got on my WII fit yesterday and had a shock!

    I had gained 9.2 lbs in the last 40 days.

    I have been exercising with the DH doing the WII fitness trainer during that time ( we do the group workout so that way we can both exercise at the same time ) I have been doing the 30 cardio at least 3 times a week, and also getting at least a 30 minute walk in the evenings about 5 days a week.

     

    I am getting more exercise than I have had in years, but I am eating out of control. It is late night bingeing that is killing me.

     

    I leave for a cruise in exactly 4 months, so I am determined to lose weight.

     

    I forgot to mention that since last November I have gained 25 lbs.

     

    I would love to lose 20 lbs, but 15 is probably more realistic.

     

    I will post on Saturday my weight change.

     

    Congrates to all of you who are making the changes to their lives to get healthy. I am very thrilled for you and you have inspired me to do the same!

  6. Hi fellow Buckeyes!

     

    Joe and I are winter get away cruisers.

     

    We try to go every January or February to get away from the Ohio cold. I really think it is the Ohio gray that we want to get away from. You know, everything is a gray color for months. The road, the sky the trees, everything.

     

    It is so nice seeing blue sky and blue waters.

     

    We are going on the Celebrity Summit January 31st. There happens to be a huge Irish festival on our sailing. 14 Irish bands will be playing in different venues during our cruise. I think we are in for a great time, high bar bill but great time!

  7. I thought I was the only one who did this!

     

    I work hard to look good in the swim suits and formal wear only to have myself retain water and look like I have the worse care of cellulite I have ever had.

     

    I also cant seem to have a regular bowel when I travel. I eat prunes each morning, bring laxatives etc, to no avail. I think the moment i step on a plane everything just shuts down. ;)

     

    I will try the water pills, and I do drink tons of water every chance I get.
