How far is it from the cruise port and how much is the taxi?

I remember taking a bus there in the past several times to Bermuda...is that still an option and if so, does anyone know the price? We will be there beginning of August. thanks.

We will be in Antigua in October and are looking for a clean beach, with shade. reasonably close to the port. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

More of a lurker then a poster - this one I have to chime in - :D We would definitely cruise more if Princess had more to offer out of NY!! Hopefully, Princess will read this thread.

Ditto - more of a lurker than poster but I too am chiming in. We took the Caribbean 9 day out of Brooklyn for the 6 or so years they sailed. Beautiful itinerary and it was always a full sailing - to the point of getting move over offers. People from this area have been very vocal about wanting Princess specifically to come back with Spring, Summer and Fall round trip sailings. When I and others expressed this to Princess, we were told they make note of this, they hear it all the time, and that more people should keep complaining as they have been known to return to Ports when the demand is there. It's sad that we only have very short window to leave from this area if we want to go with the cruise line we prefer without having to fly to take the cruise.

Is there a beach within walking distance of Port Everglades? Liquor Stores? We prefer to walk rather than taxi it....thanks!
