  1. Hi all,

We start Sunday on our 28 night journey on 3 different ships and trying to find out how we get from ship to ship all docked in Port Everglades.

Odyssey Feb 6-12 to Celebrity Reflection, Feb 12-19 to the Allure, Feb 19 to March 5th.

Is there a cruise shuttle or do we take a taxi or Uber?

    Thank you!

Pre-Covid every Oct-Dec I'd Cruise Serenade watching them do Ship Maintenance after it's return to Florida. This included paint/trim, removing some wood railings, sanding/Staining and returning them the following week doing next set. One yr they replaced all Balcony Chairs, the next was Mattresses, this on turn around day with all Cabins on that whole Deck. Many think lot this stuff is done only at Dry Dock, seen this not happen, one yr they were doing this stuff After Marine Side Dry Dock...

    Hi,

Boarding on Monday for 5 nights. First sailing since we got off on  March 14 2020.  The last cruise. 😞

Do you know if they offer Mimosas on Sea Days at about noon hour in the Casino Bar?  Just wondering since we are D+ if I want to use one of the vouchers.

    Thanks

    Mike

  3. Not a Happy Camper on this at all.  We have spent a great deal of Money ONLY sailing with RCL. Now going on cruise # 46 Sept 01 on the Allure, and we are booked and paid for sailing Adventure for 13 days from Canada in October. If RCL wants to cut back like this, There will be no reason to ONLY sail with them any longer. There are so many other cruise lines out there that are building new ships with different itineraries that we have passed on just to stay loyal to RCL.  If  they want to cut back, then get RID of the loyalty program. It is not worth it anymore. The DL was always the crown jewel that set RCL apart from everyone else and made us sail ONLY with them.   Just to say goodbye to so many loyal cruisers that really enjoyed this perk of open bar in the DL makes no sense.

I remember many years ago that RCL was going to separate the Diamonds and the D+ /Pinnacles.  Hopefully this backfires and maybe a campaign needs to start with e-mails to corporate to show our dissatisfaction?

  4. One week from tonight, we will be drinking lots of Cruise Cocktails. :-) So ready for Vacation.

Mike and Bill, early Anniversary Cruise, From Southern California. Deck 11 over looking the Aqua Theater. First time on Allure but just sailed Oasis back in May. Hope to meet more people. Signed up for Meet and Mingle also.

  5. Thanks for the info, Looking forward to learning more. We are on the Allure on November 12th, still not sure where we are going. Eastern Cruise. Then we are On the Adventure OTS in April 2018 out of San Juan and then we are landing in San Juan Next Year on a Trans Atlantic on the Jewel OTS. Hoping and Praying for all who live and are helping Puerto Rico. Like most of us know, the tourist areas are always the first to get fixed and made to look normal, it what most of us that do not see where all of the problems all. We were just in San Juan in May and traveled the island and it was beautiful. Puerto Rico Strong!

  6. WOW!! Been a while since I have been on CC. Bill and I are booked in a Boardwalk Cabin, Deck 11, 11709. We paid PP All fees, 2797.96, taxes /fees were 63.48 PP. We are D+ and this will be our 4th TA. Last one was in 2014. LOVE the sea days, looks like a lot of them. I do other Social media sites so I will keep up with this one also. Been to Malaga on the First TA and loved it. Looking forward to meeting everyone, Both of us are still working guys so Vacation is limited to 4 weeks every year. We have 3 cruises booked before this one so we can continue to keep our feet wet. We hail from Southern California, Beach Guys during the week and Desert Guys ( Palm Springs ) on the weekends. Anaheim Angels And Anaheim Ducks Fans, so I can talk sports with some of you. Hope everyone is having a great weekend! BTW, 90's in the desert all week, NO SNOW!! :-)

  7. Hi Jim, thanks for the continuing reports, I'm really enjoying them, as are so many others.

So surprised your having issues in Chops. Our recent experiences in Chops on Serenade were very good. Hope it improves.

Hello to fellow 2011 Liberty TA "LOSTies" Peter & Mike, glad to see y'all still out there. Enjoy your upcoming Serenade cruises!

Hi Mike, Yep still going Strong, 3 weeks every year on a RCL Ship. Need to try Celebrity, hearing good things. Hope all is well!

  8. SIL is on the Navigator in 2 weeks, First time Cruiser, I thought I read a few months back that RCCL was going to offer a Cheap Water Package, like a dollar a bottle. I thought they were following NCL in that offering. Did I miss something or can she still bring on her Own Water / Soda. Right now I see 69.00 for 24 bottles of Evian. Just looking for regular bottle water.

    Thanks

    Mike

  9. At first, Bad idea, then as you read, this is a very Fair Comprimise for all of us that like to bring water on board. Do you think RCL will follow? I say YES!!

Opinions and suggestions? But read the whole article from John Heald.......

Often times, we find guests transporting alcohol onboard through unauthorized means resulting in unmonitored consumption of alcohol. Unfortunately, this has led to behavioral and safety related concerns. We have also found that bottled beverages are frequently used to transport alcohol and the screening measures needed to validate the contents delay the embarkation process for all guests. For these reasons, we find it necessary to modify our Liquor and Beverage policy, including restricting guests from bringing bottled beverages aboard our ships.

To avoid any potential disappointment at the start of your cruise, please familiarize yourselves with our new Liquor and Beverage Policy below, which will be strictly enforced.

    • Guests are prohibited from bringing water, sodas and other non-alcoholic beverages onboard that are packaged in bottles.

    • A small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages (i.e., sparkling water, sodas, juice, and milk) packaged in cans or cartons may be brought onboard on embarkation day only in guests’ carry-on luggage. A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 sealed, unopened cans/cartons of 12 ounces each or less per person.

    • Guests are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages on board with the following exception:

o At the beginning of the cruise during embarkation day only, guests (21 years of age and older) may bring one 750 ml bottle of sealed/unopened wine or champagne per person in their carry-on luggage.

o A $15 corkage fee (a charge exacted at a restaurant for every bottle of wine served that was not bought on the premises), per 750 ml bottle, will be charged should guests wish to consume their wine or champagne in the main dining room, steakhouse or bar.

    • All liquor, beer, other forms of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages outside of the exceptions referenced above are strictly prohibited in both carry-on and checked luggage and such items will be confiscated and discarded and no compensation will be provided.

    • All alcohol purchased in ports of call or in the Fun Shops will be returned on the morning of debarkation.

    • Guests are prohibited from bringing large coolers onboard since screening and movement of large coolers through embarkation is an impediment to the boarding and security process. However small, personal-sized coolers, no larger than 12”H x 12”L x 12”W for the purpose of housing small quantities of non-alcoholic beverages and/or medications are permitted as carry-on luggage.

We know some of our guests are accustomed to bringing on their own supply of bottled water so as part of this new policy we have significantly reduced the pricing for spring bottled water which will be conveniently delivered directly to your stateroom. Pricing is as follows:

o $2.99 (plus tax) for a 12-pack of 500 ML of bottled water for pre-cruise purchase. Please visit http://www.carnival.com/funshops to place your order before your cruise to ensure we have an ample supply onboard.

o $4.99 (plus gratuities) for a 12-pack of 500 ML of bottled water for purchase onboard.

We sincerely apologize for any disappointment these changes may cause however, we firmly believe this will result in a safer environment while also improving the embarkation process and the overall guest experience.

So there you go, please as always add your thoughts below and the first person to use the ‪#‎watergate‬ wins a photo of me mostly naked with a Evian bottle covering my dangly bits

    cheers

  11. Just off yesterday.....Green 2 because we had RCL Transportation to Bush Airport. 8:45 am and we were on the Bus by 8:57 am. Good thing, it was raining pretty good. The highest number to disembark was 27. Do not remember what time they were called. Other then that...Great Ship, Great Food and Good Weather. We were in an inside, Never again....but the room was OK and Staff are Top Notch!

  12. OK, beat me up on this, that is fine. We are D+, have been for 6 years and do about 30 days a year on RCL. Sorry RCL, you get very little money from us on Booze or Beer. We bring our own Diet Pepsi on Board, a case of water, we only drink alcohol between 5 and 8:30, yep, a lot, the servers love us because we tip very well and we are very polite to all. Then we always have 1 to 3 drinks lined up at 8:30 so that will last us until 10:00 pm. So who needs to buy from the bar. Then we always find the cheap fun bars on land to drink and have fun. On our next trip, May 2015, out of Galveston on the Navigator, instead of getting on the ship at 11:00, like almost all do, we hang out on The Strand, Drink dollar Coronas and get on the ship by 3:30 pm.....ok, maybe a tad bit Happy. If you know how to play the game, and we do, Cruising is Very Cheap to do, but you have to go against what RCL wants you to do, And we do!
