We are cruising out of Port Canaveral and are flying into MCO prior to our cruise. We can get a really great rate to fly out of Sanford but would mean staying 2 more nights in Florida after the cruise. The cost will be worth it for the flight savings. I am not familiar with Sanford airport at all. Where would anyone recommend we stay for these 2 extra nights? Stay in Cocoa beach area or head back to Orlando area? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions! I really like the idea to enjoy the serenity deck while everyone is at dinner. We have always dressed up, and my husband and son have even worn a tux a few times. Looking forward to keeping more to shorts and tees this tme. Can't wait till April!

Has anyone had experience in not participating in cruise elegant evenings? By not participating, I mean not dressing up and going to a main dining area. We have done many cruises and always dressed up and get nice pictures done and had a fun night however we are planning an 8 day this spring and are thinking of leaving home the dress clothes and just enjoy a very casual cruise. Has anyone else done this? Did you miss it once you were there? thanks.

My husband and myself were there in October and it cost 10.00 cash to have access but to buy drinks or food you had to use your credit card. You could not use cash while at the resort.

We just got off the Dream and had cabins 2309 and 2315. The cove balconies are great! The room was spacious and we had no problems with noise, however we were on the opposite side of the ship from where you will be. The one outlet was a bit of a pain but we brought an extension cord. There is an outlet in the bathroom overhead to the left that we didn't even notice until the last day. You may wish to bring a small clock as well as there wasn't one in the room. We did use the wake up call to get us up in the mornings though, and that was great.
