Just got off the NOS a week ago. Turned emerals mid cruise. Do they automatically change your status on the website? Do they mail you something? What is the process? Thanks in advance for any info.

My granddaughter and I will board NOS in 28 days. So excited.

Just for general information, I arrive at FCO at 10 am and purchased the Terravision bus for 11 AM. As to the taxi, my hotel in Rione Monti (near the Colosseum) advised that a taxi from Termini should be approximately 13E.

Hope you have a great time. This is my first post here as a solo, also a senior.

Right now Terravision is running a sale and I purchased our bus tickets on line for 4E pp from FCO to Termini. We will also be taking a taxi from there to our hotel in the Monti district. This appears to be a very inexpensive, convenient way to travel. Terravision was approx $10 for two of us.
It departs from Terminal 3 at FCO, makes one other stop and then directly to the center of Rome. Even though we are not traveling until May 31st, I got the tickets now because they were so cheap.

Which cruise lines offer cruises to Santo Tomas de Castilla, Guatemala? My wife and I went a few years ago and loved it. We are thinking about trying to go again and take our kids. We went on Norwegian last time, but I don't see a cruise that goes there now. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
I know exactly what you mean. When we got there, we hired a driver with a young boy. They took us to the most magificent rainforest with tons of waterfalls. You could go in and swim at every level. I have never seen anything like it. We were surrounded by such beauty. I have also looked to see what cruises go there just to return to that setting.

What a wonderful review. I love your writing and it held my interest totally. Thank you.

Thanks, my mind is starting to get wacky from all the research.

Read the thread and loved the idea of Taormina and Castlemola. However in checking the prices they were very high for our budget. Does anyone know of a way to do it on a budget. It sounded great and I checked with the Astone brothers and a guide on the frommers's tour. both were very high.

That's it...thank you very, very much.

As recently as 2008 there were discount coupons for coral world available on line. I no longer see them anywhere. I have heard that some of the cab drivers in St. Thomas have some, but not sure. Does anyone know where to find them on line or if they even have them any more?

Can you give me some info on debarkation times and airport info . AA changed my granddaughter's fight and now it leaves at 11:30 am. I am very worried about getting her off in time. I know I will request self debarkation but am interested in the airport lines as well. thanks

Anybody know anything about Karl Bird on the Victory?

I guess the quality isn't quite the same as it used to be. But, I have always found that the bigger the ship, either the food or service is lacking. I was on the Explorer in May, and the food in the Windjammer was not good. The dining room was pretty good though AND the vegetarian sandwiches in the cafe promenade were fantastic.
And, Dennis the chef, I believe I sat with you at dinner on the Serenade transatlantic. I thought the food was very good on that cruise. But, again, I like "tame" food.
The worst food, by far, was on Carnival. I got food poisoning all three times I sailed with them. The best food, IMHO, was on the now defunct, Dolphin Cruise line. Disney is a little worse than RCI and about the same as NCL. I've never been on HAL, Celebrity or Princess as they are much too laid back for me (from all the reviews I've read and friends I've talked to). Again, these are only my experiences, and things can be hit and miss depending upon the sailing and ship. Also, food isn't even in the top 10 reasons I cruise. Good luck on the baltic cruise!
I thought my friends and I were the only folks who remember the great food they had on Dolphin. We had one of our best cruises with them out of Aruba. It's too bad they are gone.

This was one of the most interesting and concise reports I've read and I've read a lot of them. I was on this cruise 6/3, and I loved reading this. Thank you very much for the info and the laughs.
