Well they do have a point, it was your choice and being in a foreign country you should have been 100% cautious

I reserved on their website. You will need to catch a cab from the pier to less-Play, I don't recall exactly but I'm sure it is several miles. We paid 5 bucks for a cab ride

We rented a Jeep for 30-something and it was well worth it. We were able to drive to the other side of the island and see the whole island. It sure beats paying for a taxi.

We didn't book with Carnival but when we got off the bus there were tour guides we used. For all four us we for something like 50 bucks and we had an air condition bus that took us to some Myan ruins. tp see pink flamingos and then to this little resort which was very nice. I don't remeber exactly but I know it was no more than 20-30 minutes
