We plan on driving to
Fort Lauderdale for our 14 day cruise. Which motels/hotels offer free parking after booking precruise?

At least in Balcony cabins on Princess, there are no closet doors. Oceania has non-sliding doors
Pacific Princess on deck 8 has non- sliding doors.

Keith you keep bringing up the age of O ships
The Crystal Symphony is older & the Serenity is only a few yrs younger than the R class ships
Maybe you should give O a try then you can speak from experience
We love Oceania. We were on one of the smaller ships for 52 days and had no complaints. Staff very accommodating. Food in the main dining room and buffet great. Good wine list. And no formal nights! I highly recommend.

Any one know what cruise line - or even if - Bruce Gordon is still entertaining with his beautiful voice?

Marrakesh is much more interesting than Casablanca. If it were just the two of you, I would say go for it. But I wouldn't do it with your twins.
I agree. Way too much for little ones.

Globevest, very well stated. I'm with you!!

Take the carriage ride in Charleston. Do not go through Princess!! After your ride you'll know the "lay of the land" and can go back on your own. Charleston is lovely and all sights within walking distance.

BJ's is like a Costco.
The Renaissance is a few blocks (about 6?) walk to Total Wine, which is set way back in the shopping center behind Embassy Suites, Harbor Shops.
We are driving to Fort Lauderdale and will need to leave our car for over 30 days while on our cruise. Which hotel do you recommend - Holiday Inn/Hollywood on Sheridan or Fairfield Inn/Dania Beach on Griffin Road? Good area? Lighted parking area? Any info or help greatly appreciated.

We brought clothespins on our last cruise; pretty helpful.
Roll of quarters for the laundry as well as sheets of fabric softeners. I will purchase the clothesline & pins - great idea.

We've sailed Oceania many many times. Never have had any negatives. Officers and crew all great. Meals outstanding.
