  1. We arrive at YVR a week before our cruise and rent a car for a few days. We are returning the rental on the day of the cruise and have booked the Princess transfer. Where can I find the bus. I will look for anyone with a Princess clip board or logo. We will be at YVR about 9AM.

  3. I just returned from Grand Princess Alaska SEA to SEA. I have a torn tendon in my ankle and cannot walk long distances. I rented a scooter from http://www.specialneedsatsea.com/ which is an approved provider for Princess. I did not have a HCP cabin. It fit thru the door with no problem. I had room to store it overnight. Our stewart told us that we could call Passenger Services at the end of the day and they would store it overnight and charge it also. This was the best experience that I had on a cruise. I felt I could go with my family anywhere they wanted without calculating how far it was to walk. At dinner I would get valet parking for my scooter. I think it was $179 for a 7 day cruise. the best part is you can request a wheel chair for embarking and when you get to your cabin the scooter is there. When you disembark you take it to an assigned lounge and they have a wheel chair to disembark.

It was wonderful to be able to get around anywhere I wanted. You do not need a HCP cabin unless you need to rent the bigger model for over 250 lbs. I have had both knees and a hip and I will never cruise again without a scooter.

  4. We just returned from the Grand SEA to SEA 7 day Alaska cruise. I rented a scooter from the preferred provide for Princess. It worked out great for us. It was in our cabin when we arrived. Our Stewart said to leave it in the hall during the day. When we we were turning in call passenger services and they would store it overnight and charge it. It was fine going thru the door to the cabin. We always brought it in the cabin at night. We did not have a HC cabin.

  5. I disembarked from Grand Princess on Sunday Aug 3, 2014. I forgot to buy a FCC while on board ship. I remember seeing a post on CC that said you could buy one if you called soon after your cruise.

Well I called today and could not buy one on shore unless there were problems in buying it on the ship. Can anyone tell me how to buy one from shore?

  6. We cruised on Grand Princess last week and had a great trip. My whole family went on this cruise so we had 4 cabins. We usually get mini suite and the rest of the family gets balconies near by.

I booked 4 window cabins on Plaza deck and the convenience was terrific. You could hear the naturalist on the TV if some interesting sight was coming up and 2 flights up to Promenade. The IC was less than a hundred yards away and you could meet up with rest of your party in several venues on Plaza midship. We had AT dining and the Michelangelo dining room is on Plaza. I would never do traditional dining on an Alaska cruise with the weird port times this cruise had.

A balcony would have been useless unless you wanted to freeze you axx off. We had reasonably good weather but none of us would just sit out on the balcony to see wildlife. Maybe when entering or leaving ports.

I love plaza deck if the ship has IC located there.

  7. I just wnated to confirm that EZ check is alive and well in Seattle. There were about 8 airlines listed on the form. We used United and Southwest with no problems. I did not keep the form or remember what other airlines were listed. You must submit before the deadline or be rejected for the program.

  8. I was hoping it was on Plaza deck since we are booked in a cabin on that deck. If that was the case I did not need to wait for elevators since I have a scooter. Thank you for your response.

  9. We love the Plaza deck. No need to climb stairs for breakfast since the IC is right there. The elevators are very close and it is the last stop going down so the elevators are not full. We do anytime dining so our MDR is just steps away. I got upgraded to a Plaza deck cabin a long time ago and now I book it almost everytime. We are going to Alaska next week and I chose Plaza because my wife would never go out to the balcony since it would be too cold.
