ACL official policy is NO tipping required as it is included in the cruise fare. However, most people will give tips to dining servers or housekeepers that take care of them. Also, Bus Drivers and Tour Guides should be tipped. (On many itineraries, the busses follow the ship so you will see the same bus and driver every day.)

Thank You for your   response, that is exactly what I wanted to know.

  2. Taking this cruise in June and enjoyed your review very much. Just have a question I have not seen addressed on any reviews. It pertains to tipping.  I have taken many large  ship cruises and besides normal billed daily gratuities it is almost expected to tip the staff additional cash gratuities for, eg. bartender, room steward, room service delivery.  I want to do the right thing and have no objections to providing tips in addition to "gratuities included".  What is appropriate with ACL?

    Thank you

Yeah hopefully it does but I dont remember seeing any. Just scanned 4 Videos of this Cabin and didnt see any.  Was on Brilliance Solo in same Cabin 7yrs ago. Ship was Designed over 20yrs ago, long before newer Ships started coming with ext outlets inc USB. Done several Cruises on Radiance, doing 6 more inc couple Panama Canals in Fall 2023 & 24... Good Luck!

Thank you for taking the time to investigate this. I was thinking the same thing that the older ship won't have an outlet in the secondary bedroom.  This may present a problem because we have a family member on a c-pap machine at night.

There was a section in WJ for suites only , no special menu .

I have stayed in Grand and Owners suites on voyager class ships and this is the first time I have heard of a special section on embarkation day in WJ.  Can you tell me a little more about it? I travel solo and it is hard to find seating when you are alone and can't save seats while getting food. Have tried all the techniques like tilting the chair. leaving a book but nothing seems to work. A reserved area would be so much easier.

  5. I will sometimes get a day rate at a hotel on the beach or near sights. Rate usually is from 9a to 6p. Works well with disembarking and flights. Try dayuse.com or use a large brand website like Hilton and put in same date for check-in and check-out and day rates will pop-up.  If you have a favorite hotel you can call and ask for a day rate.

  6. Once leaving the ship in the morning I will have a long wait for my afternoon flight. Flying business class with American and can't find an Admirals Lounge in Barcelona. Does American share lounge access with another airline?  I know other airports like LHR you can pay a fee and have lounge benefits, anything like that in Barcelona.

    Thanks for any suggestions

If you wait onboard the time slot you want may not be there. You can book yours and DH and then DF for same times using credits available. Then once onboard go to desk and have them combine for table for 3.

When can you book specialty dining with the HIA credit?   My cruise is 125 days out and it does not allow me to book specialty dining yet.
