  1. I have been a solo cruiser for many years.  Have completed almost 30 cruises but now prefer 10+ day cruises due to retirement. I have started getting into booking B2B trips to extend my time on the ships.  I enjoy meeting people and usually run into someone that lives near my home, which never ceases to amaze me.  Sailing on the Adventure of the Seas next month NJ - Quebec, followed by HAL B2B Honolulu to Fairbanks, then finish 2020 with a RCCL B2B Mediterranean and transatlantic.

  2. Jewel OTS March 29,2019 14 Night Transatlantic Miami to Rome in a studio

Will probably also book MSC Seaview 4/13/2019 Barcelona r/t in a few weeks.

Your 2019 cruise was the option RCCL gave me when they canceled and changed ports for the transatlantic cruise on the JOTS. I took them up on the OBC and booked the Jewel for 10 day Southern Caribbean in February. Disappointed that I will not see the Canary Island now.:(:(clear.png?emoji-frown-1741

  3. NCL Epic April 7th transatlantic. First solo cruise with NCL; 6th solo cruise out of 27 cruises. I am looking forward to the solo experience in the studio cabins. I have always tried to sell cruising to my friends who never have set sail but to no avail. That does not stop me! I will be retiring this year and I have 3 more solo cruises booked for 2018-2019. All aboard!

  4. I've taken solo cruises at many times on several different cruise lines. I am 64 and have stopped trying to spark interest in cruising to the "non-believers" so I go by myself and always have a great time. After cruising on mostly Carnival for the past several years, I guess I am growing up and yearning for a quieter, sophisticated ship with the older crowd. For the price, Carnival is the best, but I would rather seek the experience of a slower pace and great conversation with seasoned sailors.

I was surprised at how empty it was…but then again it was still early on a Saturday morning. The last time I was there, it was total pandemonium, in a lively, wonderful way. We had to wait for someone to seat us that time, and it was about a 10-minute wait. This time, the hostess encouraged us to choose wherever we wanted to sit.

I'm staying on Cll San Francisso at Da House week from Saturday. Plan on eating at La Bombonera for late lunch. So it was great I assume? My cruise heads out on Sunday, Serenade of the Seas.
