  1. Thank you! :)

It really depends. The lifeboat obstructs your view down more than anything. That first pic you saw, I was standing right at the window looking down at the boat. Standing back a little and looking straight out, you don't even see it. You'll still have a great view out to sea.

BTW, thanks for inadvertently bringing a spelling error to my attention. I had my wife's (Tina) name spelled wrong on that one picture.

I like that room alot. The only room they have available is #9046.Unfortunately it would cost another $271 for me to upgrade to SOV.I'm kinda waiting to see if either the price goes down or they upgrade me to SOV.

  2. I was just in SO 9048 last month. Yes, the views are obstructed. Here is what you see when you look out the window:

That being said, the deck 9 SO rooms are leaps and bounds better than the others. I was very comfortable in this room.

Feel free to browse all the pics. I took plenty of the ship. You'll notice the window is big enough to sit in.

Really nice pictures.I like the size of the cabin. It looks nice. The first picture you posted looks half obstructed with that life boat right there yet the picture with Tine sitting on the window sill doesn't look that bad.Is it because she's seated higher?I like the view from where Tine was seated.I really don't want a big honkin life boat as my view.

Thanks for posting.I enjoyed all your pictures!

  3. Sounds like a good location to me. The higher the more convenient to me. Deck 7 though has the jogging track, so skip that deck as you did. I think you got a great location.

Thanks firefly.I changed our room to Deck 8 Cabin#8036.I went by a layout that someone provided on this site of the deck 8 cabins that did not have an obstructed view. And it was $80 less!:D

  4. Hey neighbor!

We were in the cabin next door, 9046. How did you like Irvin?

Too bad we did not meet you two. It was kind of funny as there were several cabin doors decorated with anniversary decorations from RCCL and I am sure one of them were yours.

How was the view from your cabin? I am looking at the SOV cabins and your is available.

    Thanks.
