I'm guessing from your location and time you posted that you are from the UK and maybe going on the Anthem over the summer like ourselves. Quantum is a class of ship that includes the Anthem.

I've had a look of a marked up plan that someone posted (sorry don't know how to post here) and it looks like 6580 will have the top of a boat but no metal structure in front of your balcony.

The best thing about the restricted view deck 6 is it is so close to everything happening on deck 4 and 5.

    Hi,

I noticed in one of your previous post you had cabin 6664. Do you have any pictures of the room? Can you please tell me the good, bad and ugly of the room?  Thank you

Check out this thread and in particular the very helpul plan created by @robtulipe in post #9. It looks like your obstruction will be the top of the lifeboat so that's a better scenario than if it were a davit. Even if you can't find a pic or video of your own cabin, you may be able to find one of another cabin that has a similar obstruction, as per the plan, just so you can see the effect of the lifeboat. Otherwise, those rooms are all very similar.

Thank you Looks like I don’t have those double davits which is a relief.

Search sites like cruisedeckplans for pics/videos. Also look at other Q class ships as they will be the same.

Thanks I did search those sites and came up empty handed. Everyone tried to be helpful and shows you what their obstructed view is but it is a different room.

I have checked you-tube. I am beginning to think that room does not exist.
I do appreciate your suggestions. You have always been helpful.

Funnily enough, it's exactly the same distance from Waterloo station whether or not you have luggage: 600 metres (which is just over a third of a mile) to the Waterloo Road entrance to the station, according to Google Maps.

    Thank you

  5. Hi,

Just came off of the SOS and took this excursion. When we embarked there was a note that Positano was cancelled due to pier damage and instead Amalfi was substituted. It was too late for us to book something else, so we went on it. I also booked this during the Black Friday special and saved some money. There must have been multiple complaints prior to us as the tour guide reviewed with us what the experience was to be and made sure we knew what to expect. Also he asked anyone if they were told anything differently to make sure there was no misunderstanding. It appeared that either the owner of the company or someone high up was also on this excursion to make sure everything went accordingly.

We embarked right at the pier. They had welcome mimosas for us. There was plenty on indoor and outdoor seating. There were lounge chairs in the front and couches inside as well as table and chairs. They also had small bowls of snacks. There was a bar as well for paid drinks.

They had toilets. They also had changing rooms and lockers that we were not made aware of ahead of time. That would have allowed us to change clothes when we went ashore.

We sailed around Capri and then anchored to swim. The water was rough so we did not stay too long in the water. They did provide noodles and life preservers if you wanted them.

They also had a very nice lunch buffet with wine. We sailed by the Amalfi Coast and it was beautiful.

We then sailed to Amalfi and had some time to visit that town. We did have to take a tender into Amalfi. The town was nice.

We boarded the ship and they gave us Limoncello and lemon cake. The crew tried to go above and beyond.

The weird think is that they provided real glassware, so several times you would hear glass breaking on the deck. Some crew were dressed us in pants, white shirts, and vests.

When we were getting ready to sail again, that is when there were some hiccups. The engine won’t start. It took about 20 minutes to get it going. Amalfi is further away from Positano so it was a much longer excursion than described. It was formal night that day so many passengers made reservations for specialty dining that they did not make it back in time for.

The weather was good, which made it a more pleasant experience for us. I would have liked more time swimming if the water was not so rough. Perhaps not going as far to Amalfi was not the best option. I did enjoy the excursion as it gave us some time to rest and enjoy the sun as we cruised around the Amalfi Coast.

These 2 hotels are on the top of my list too. I just booked H10 Metropolitan for 2 nights pre cruise and 1 night after our cruise. I did cancel at any time and the free breakfast. Hotel Jazz is not taking reservations for when we are going yet. When the reservations open up for September 2024 I will check then.

It looks like Hotel Jazz is a less expensive hotel.

    Hi,

we stayed at the Metropolitan and have no regrets. The breakfast was well worth the extra money.

Was this your fist stay with H10 hotels? I signed up with Club H10 before I made my online booking. This will be our first time so I am curious if we still qualify for the free breakfast. I reserved the room with the breakfast now.

Hi This was our first time staying with H10. We did room only. As long as you are logged in the H10 website there are directions for the free breakfast. Enjoy the room.

  8. I just stayed at the Metropolitan. We had the double terrace room. The room size was small compared to an American hotel.

If you are an American you will need to bring an adapter for the outlets. There are no USB ports. The staff was wonderful. The amenities were great. Water and CAVA was always available in the lobby. If you signed up to be an H10 member you should qualify for free breakfast and two bottles of water in your room. The breakfast was fabulous and CAVA was also available. The food was very good as well. If you stay here you will not be disappointed. There are slippers and bathrobes as well.
