  1. A few years ago my husband broke his ankle a month before our cruise that required surgery. I was going to cancel since we had the insurance ...but he wanted to go anyway. He got a knee scooter, CCL moved us to a handicapped room, got a cast shower cover...and we had a great cruise. Only issue was that I couldn't keep up with him, he was like a kid with a toy on that scooter

  2. I can't imagine a situation where I would have to "endure" a 7 days cruise. We were on the Dawn a few years ago without power or propulsion floating around the caribbean like a cork fora day and a half, no air conditioning, no flushing toilets, etc. Even that we had a great time overall and made the best of it.

Well...then it's evident that you experienced a different crew with better morale. I could have overlooked the food if the staff had even been cordial. With the exception of a few, they all looked and personified a bitter unhappy attitude and it spilled over onto the passengers.

The last few years, I've spent most of my vacations at WDW or on CCL ...nothing is ever truly disappointing when it is accompanied with a good attitude...they make this happen 😊

Oh...and this was my opinion of my experience, pure and simple!

  3. I received a call from a Carnival PVP last night to inform me about the switch of ports, of course I already knew. When I asked why the change, she said that there was too many ships at Curaçao that day...so they switched to Bonaire.

Ships don't visit Bonaire that often, so I'm ok with the change. I was looking forward to Curaçao since I've never been there, but that's life, a less crowed day in Bonaire may be what I need :)

  4. We always make it a point to catch a sunset on a cruise but is there anything special about a sunrise from a boat? I'm not much of an early riser, but I'll do it once if it's worth it.

I always wake up my DH and we grab coffee and go watch the sunrise....it is nice listening to the waves and watching the sun rise.

there are very few people out at this time of the morning....nice and quiet...there is...something special about it :)

You won't get "quiet" at sunset

  5. I wanted to know anyone's thoughts on cabin 1210. I see its in the front of the ship, has a porthole. Any have experience with front of ship problems? This is my first cruise, so I really don't know what to expect. I sail out on the Triumph from New Orleans this Saturday 4/23.

    Thanks

We stayed in room 1003, right in the front of the ship... and loved it

  6. We have Vista balcony room 9408 booked on the Dream. I am not so worried about the noise as i assume they will have better soundproofing since it is a new ship. I am interested, though, in knowing the advantage/disadvantage of being below that overhand from the lido deck above. :( Does anyone have any info on being below the lido deck overhang on other ships?
