I just booked the Carnival Magic for February 2021. Myself and my two teens will be going. I have cruised before, but never had a balcony on the Lido deck. Anyone see any potential issues? Will it be LOUD at night? Thanks for your help.

THANK YOU!! I'll be checking them out for sure.

Hello!
We are having a group of people on an upcoming cruise (Jan 2016). We have sailed with private vendors in the past - however - they accommodate 4-6 people at a time. Can anyone recommend a private sailboat/Catamaran that will accommodate up to 20 people? We're hoping to head to St. John's as none of us have been there before.
Thanks in advance for your help!

We have a spa deck balcony room booked for our upcoming cruise. Would someone be able to tell me what kind of balcony doors the Valor has? Sliding doors? Thanks

Can anyone tell me what time you were able to access your rooms? We are hoping to board between noon and 1 pm - then go into OSJ and explore - but don't want to take our carry on's with us.
Thanks

We are going to be in St. Thomas the week of Jan 25th. Looking for something fun to do with the kids (age 11 & 13) and saw St. Thomas Cruise Excursions: "MINI POWERBOATS & SNORKELING TOUR ". Has anyone tried this excursion at all? Comments?
Thanks

When our kids were younger, we truly enjoyed the onboard swimming pools & hot tubs with them.
But now that they've grown & we don't get in as much lately.
Also, based on an incident we've observed on another land-based AI hotel hot tub, we've haven't been back into the hot in awhile.
Does anyone knows about Carnival's hot tub hygiene policy?
ie: how often do they totally drain & refill with new water?
how often the clean/shock/treat the water?
do they use clorine, bromine, ultraviolet or other disinfectant?
We love all the new hot tubs designs avail in the newer ships lately, on both Carnival & RCCL, but still hesitant about getting in from the (unreasonable?) thoughts in the back of our minds about what might be floating in the water...
Thanks,
As an owner of a pool and spa business, I would not use any public spa. I have been around them, worked on them and seen how nasty they can be.

THANKS everyone!!

We have booked two adjoining balcony rooms, and would like to have the divider opened between them - do I ask for that now - or once we've boarded the ship?

Try Pat @ Independence Sailboat Charter. We used her once and she was awesome. Good luck

Concern is the noise factor. We usually book on the Empress deck - with cabins above and below - but we need an adjoining room - and they are not available on the Empress. With the Promenade below us - night time noise is our biggest concern.

Has anyone stayed in Valor cabin # 8274 & 8276? Your thoughts about these rooms will be appreciated. We are considering moving.
Thanks

Thanks for your input everyone. I was getting a bit nervous!

We are tentatively booked for the Valor in January 2014. First time taking the kids with us!!! So very excited! Quick question for y'all. I am concerned about the noise from below on deck 5 - has anyone stayed on this deck? We are room 6362? PVP has said there a very little adjoining balcony rooms....and has given us this one option. I did find adjoining rooms on the Spa Deck - but that's more expensive. Any help/advise?
Thanks for your help!

We have pretty much decided on the San Juan departure port - since we live in Canada - we want to make as sure as possible - that we're going to get WARM weather in January!!!!
Toss up is still whether to get one room or two - either way - I know we'll have a great time.
A sincere THANK YOU for your input - I truly appreciate it!

Thanks everyone!

Hubby and I have cruised 3 times - without the kids - and LOVE it. Our next cruise - we have promised the kids they could come with us. Kids will be ages 13 and 11 at the time of the cruise. Which ship or itinerary would you say is best? We love to cruise out of San Juan - but want to make sure the kids have fun as well. Also - will the four of us fit into 1 balcony room without too many issues?
Thanks in advance for your advice!

Once again great review.

Thanks CruiseFan,
Hubby and I went on the Splendor in January, and loved the quiet of the Serenity deck. Was hoping for the same thing on the Victory. Not that it would deter us if they didn't have it...just an extra bonus.
