  1. Hello!

We are having a group of people on an upcoming cruise (Jan 2016). We have sailed with private vendors in the past - however - they accommodate 4-6 people at a time. Can anyone recommend a private sailboat/Catamaran that will accommodate up to 20 people? We're hoping to head to St. John's as none of us have been there before.

Thanks in advance for your help!

  2. When our kids were younger, we truly enjoyed the onboard swimming pools & hot tubs with them.

But now that they've grown & we don't get in as much lately.

Also, based on an incident we've observed on another land-based AI hotel hot tub, we've haven't been back into the hot in awhile.

Does anyone knows about Carnival's hot tub hygiene policy?

ie: how often do they totally drain & refill with new water?

how often the clean/shock/treat the water?

do they use clorine, bromine, ultraviolet or other disinfectant?

We love all the new hot tubs designs avail in the newer ships lately, on both Carnival & RCCL, but still hesitant about getting in from the (unreasonable?) thoughts in the back of our minds about what might be floating in the water...

    Thanks,

As an owner of a pool and spa business, I would not use any public spa. I have been around them, worked on them and seen how nasty they can be.

  3. We are tentatively booked for the Valor in January 2014. First time taking the kids with us!!! So very excited! Quick question for y'all. I am concerned about the noise from below on deck 5 - has anyone stayed on this deck? We are room 6362? PVP has said there a very little adjoining balcony rooms....and has given us this one option. I did find adjoining rooms on the Spa Deck - but that's more expensive. Any help/advise?

    Thanks for your help!

  4. We have pretty much decided on the San Juan departure port - since we live in Canada - we want to make as sure as possible - that we're going to get WARM weather in January!!!!

Toss up is still whether to get one room or two - either way - I know we'll have a great time.

A sincere THANK YOU for your input - I truly appreciate it!

  5. Hubby and I have cruised 3 times - without the kids - and LOVE it. Our next cruise - we have promised the kids they could come with us. Kids will be ages 13 and 11 at the time of the cruise. Which ship or itinerary would you say is best? We love to cruise out of San Juan - but want to make sure the kids have fun as well. Also - will the four of us fit into 1 balcony room without too many issues?

Thanks in advance for your advice!
