Not a big loss for us. We have the Bahamas as a stop on our upcoming November cruise on Summit. Bahamas is one of two things these days for us...
- Stay on board and enjoy a quieter day
- Take a walk around Paradise Lake, where the mega yachts dock. Some fun boats to see, and if the owners are not on board the crew can be quite chatty.
If it's Celebrity tours only, then is a stay on board day for us.
If Bahamas is a new stop. or a stop you want to do a tour at, we did like the detailed tour of Atlantis, including their Aquarium. Not sure if that's available as a Celebrity tour, but that was a fun thing we did one of the first couple of times we stopped there.
See you at the Sunset Bar. We are not getting off the ship at any of our 2 port stops. 🙂

I'm sure RCL will submit one shortly as they now have someone to copy from. That's been their past practice at least when it comes to cancellations. This puts the ball squarely in the CDC's court so the clocks on them to reply.
LOL, Don't count on it.

We had the Drinks and More on our 2/14/2020 cruise before Covid and with the casino perk I turned that into $5005.25 on a quarter machine. 🙂

According to cruisemapper Apex has joined the Edge in the Bahamas.

To many restrictions on this package for me.:o

I would assume that Troublemaker and his wife will both get to the ship in the same way, yet they show different letters: y and n.
Don't know but I can tell you the boarding pass at the bottom had Fun Ship Transfers and now it does not, just the N/Y
-
Just looked at the boarding pass I printed 2 months ago and the one now showing and the N/Y pertains to Transfer Services. N=no transfer, Y=yes transfer.

The 24 hour $25 deposit promotion is for 2016 cruises, also it is $25pp for the booking as I confirmed with my booking just now with a Celebrity Rep. If you booked online with only $25 the booking will be cancelled in a day or so is what I was told.

No you are docked both ports.

424 Days and to be honest I am in no hurry for it to get here. The only reason I booked with CCL is because that is what extended family members requested. After sailing with them for 18 cruises I have seen the decline and no longer will book them as my preferred cruise line.
-
Carnival does not have a choice as how to handle this it is being dictated to them so get off your CCL horse.
-
Let's see a struggling cruise line and a like wise NFL team now that's a Real good Idea!
-
The tax is a MD/Baltimore tax so once away from the dock that tax stops just like in Miami.
-
One of the many reasons I have distanced myself from Carnival.
-
I just sent an email to carnival telling them what I have told you here. I ended my email by telling them "I am giving you fair warning that I am searching for a cruise line that will give me the variety that carnival formerly did in entertainment options. I think all of us platinum and diamond passengers who cruise frequently should write to carnival and express our feelings so that maybe they will change these practices. While I may not book their most expensive suite every time I cruise, I cruise on average 4 times per year, as do many others here, and they should value our opinions.

Carnival cares not of your loyalty, they show that on a consistent basis so just move on as others and myself have done.

There is Vision of the Seas doing 7, 9, 10 night cruises from Tampa. Might be a good time to check out RCL. :D
-
Any balcony cabin on Celebrity Summit over any suite or wrap on the Valor.
-
Some people go thru great pains to tell a story.:eek::p
-
I am hoping to join you but right now we are on the 1/4 sailing as there is a military rate on that one and it is a lot less than the 1/24 sailing. I can't justify $300 more (and that is for an inside cabin) just to to go Freeport
Disclaimer I am guessing prices on those will change a lot in the future:rolleyes:
This will be our first cruise on RCCL and we are looking forward to it. :D

I have been watching this cruise as well. The 12/13/14 cruise goes to Grand Bahama Island as well (Freeport) .
I wonder if it really is going there or not. I found a cruise port search but the Explorer for January 2015 is not on it.
I am booked on the 1/24/15 sailing from Canaveral on the Explorer and it does go to Grand Bahamas that is one of the reasons I choose this sailing. Could be one of the reasons it calls on Grand Bahama is I think it goes into dry dock in March 15'

Geeze people are so about ME! I would tell you NO you had an equal opportunity to book the cabin or cabins you wanted but did not and now you want special treatment...NAH, ain't happening.:rolleyes::p

It seems the majority would prefer 7688, so since it's just myself and the DW I switched to this cabin. Thank you all for your input it is greatly appreciated.
