I would bet no more then 6 weeks prob closer to 4 weeks. 

Looking to find out what ports royal does check out dives. We are going on symphony of the seas in Aug. we go to port Canaveral, both private islands. And Nassau Bahamas. 
They offer PADI on the ship and I also confirmed we can do our check out dives via that. It’s 2 days of diving and I know one will be at coco Kay  but what will be the other as I know lapadee doesn’t offer scuba ?

I have a question so normally I don’t bother with the internet but this next cruise I need to be able to find the kids (don’t trust the app after the last cruise). That said for a 9 night cruise the pre order rate is $197.91 (according to the app a $72 pre cruise savings) I know if I get onboard I can get the equivalent of 2 days cost off the price of the internet package. But is it cheaper to book before hand or wait to get on the ship? 
I also assume I can’t combine the 4 people in my family that each get 2 days free to take 8 days total off ? Thanks for the info. 

I am doing a cruise this summer and looking for a Scuba tour that also can do snorkeling. Me and My daughter scuba dive but the wife and son along with grand parents just want to snorkel. is there any excursions that support both?

Hi so i am going on my first RCL cruise after the change to one time a day room cleaning. My big concern is that I will have 2 kids with us, the room we are in has the 2 drop down beds from the wall / ceiling. I would like to have the room cleaned in the AM and the beds put up to make changing etc for dinner much easier. Would it be possible to have them clean the room in the AM and then just come by at night and drop the beds down ?

I can say for sure the Pools are not open on debark day. Not sure about the gym 

I am trying to find out how it works as for a partner, I have a new partner and just booked our first cruise (she has never been on one). I am D+ on royal and would love to have her with me in the lounge as she is my partner. How does that work ? I know you cant just bring in random friends that travel with you but I remmber reading somewhere if its a partner etc you can get them your status. 

It really depends on the port and there "rent a cop, idea of what is and is not allowed" i say this because for years and i mean 4 + cruises a year, i have brought a Belkin 3 outlet 2 usb port plug with me and had NO issues, then this last time we went on a cruise out of NJ all the sudden the "rent a cop" gave me crap about it and even took it, I spoke to the Crown and Anchor rep on board and she had it back for me that night with out issue. So its really crazy on how they enforce what.

Folks always have a fit on the boards about it but we do it on EVERY cruise not just disney but every one, we have a duffel bag we use and put a whole case in, they DONT leak and they get there every time, the whole dont put in checked bags is really more for booze then water

The only size is a matted print 16x20 with the image being 9x13.

We can determine the best way to exchange the print and the money. One way I thought that would protect both ofus is for you to list the print on Ebay once you return from your cruise. there are great rates on Disney Magic out of NYC leaves Oct 2nd to the 6th and has all cats open right now

We went on a 7 night on Fantasy in Jan and loved the shrimp on the buffet every day at lunch (the peal and eat ones), But with the Magic being smaller does anyone know if they still have them? we leave in Oct for a 4 night out of NYC and looking forward to the shrimp.

We stayed at a hotel in NJ with a cruise and park package. They provided transportation to and from the terminal. All in all, I believe that the hotel stay with parking, transportation, and breakfast was less than it would have park at the port.

So we have cruised Celebrity a bunch in the past, but then had kids and switched to Royal for a while. Now looking at booking the Summit out of NJ for a quick cruise with the kids. I know on Royal the hours are not great, its like 9 to noon, 2 to 4 and 7 to 10. Is Celebrity the same or is it open most of the day like on disney ?

Had to rant hehe only folks on here that cruise alot like we do would get it. The wife said No more cruises till 2018 after we did our 3rd cruise this year (Jan,Apr,May). then She figured out the kids daycare is closed in aug for a week so she said how about we do a 5 night out of baltimore as its the same week daycare is closed so I went to book it and sadly its sold out for cabins with 4 in them and no connecting cabins for 2. The kids are way to young to not be connecting cabins.

My questions is more will I have access to get iMessage? I have given up on Facetime and got a cell at sea plan from AT&T and now just want to know if I can plan to have service most of the time so my Daughter can send me messages?

We were just on Serenade for 24 nights (Norwegian Fjords and Transatlantic) and with the exception of a few relatively brief periods of time we had good internet service. We will be on her again in a few weeks and hope to have equally good service.:)

How was the Voom when in the Fjords part ??

If you have an unlocked cell phone I would suggest buying a Norwegian SIM card. We bought one in Stavenger.

Thanks I do have an unlocked phone, however with ATT its $10 a day to use my nomal cell data and min so I can do that im more concerned with when at sea

There can be problems in the high sided Fjords with coms which rely on the ship picking up a signal. But out of the Fjords the ships Internet and cell at sea systems should be fine, though expensive.

 

Free Wifi access is pretty good in the various ports you will be going to.

So Normaly I dont care about internet or cell while on a cruise (the main reason for a cruise is to disconnect), But this time the kids are at home with the sitter and I want to make sure they can get ahold of me. I am a tech person so i looked up voom's provider and it seems even though Royal sold me the internet it may not be good (over 45deg Lat says limited coverage). So knowing that here is my question. First does anyone have any info on how the coverage really is on Serenade Of The Seas, in that cruise for internet? Second does this also effect Cell at Sea service? Any recomendations for coms while on the cruise up this far?

Serenade does not have O3b internet, she has the old geosync service. Still, I would expect it to be at least as reliable, and faster than any cellular at sea data service.

where did you read that ? i was told all of Royal ships now have O3b service, and folks on her in the Carribbean have said they can facetime and stream so I would think it must be O3b for that ?
