  1. It’s all relative. A small ship filled to capacity can feel just as crowded as a mega one filled to capacity.

We’ve sailed older small ships on NCL, Carnival and Royal. After a show or muster or in the buffet during peak hours it was pretty tight.

We we enjoy the Mega’s now with all the 🛎 and whistles.  They don’t seem crowded  at all except for what’s mentioned above.

  2. We also were charged for travel protection without requesting it.

If this is really an error why don’t Royal Caribbean inform the customers that an error was made and will be corrected?

    Will someone answer that?

Here’s my thoughts- Because it’s intentional.

How many customers may not notice this and never be refunded.

We we just happen to notice this so called error the other day and had to take the time to get them to correct it.  It’s beyond frustrating.

Thank-you for the update.  Are there also a couple of extra cost entrees on the dinner menu?

Yes there are a few extra cost items. My son (14) ordered a steak. (Extra charge) I’m not a red meat eater so I can’t tell you what type or cut. Although I believe some type of steak was included on the menu at no extra charge.

When did that change.  We were on in March and while there were waiters they were only there to get your drinks and clear your dishes.  You still had to go to the buffet to get your entree.

We did the 3 night sailing the end of May and ordered our entree from the menu which the waiter brought out.

We sailed the Ovation 6/21 and also ordered our entree from the menu which the waiter brought out.

BTW - the menu posted above is not the current menu on Ovation or Symphony.

We enjoyed the Solarium so much that we made reservations for 3 nights on our upcoming October sailing on the Symphony.

For dinner, starters and desserts are buffet, entree is waiter service.  Some entrees are extra cost.

    Breakfast and lunch are buffet.

This is also the case of The Symphony. It now has waiter service for dinner.

  6. You can actually book this excursion while at CoCo Cay just walk over to Chill Island there’s a stand opposite the kayak rental. The excursion can be booked there. Get there early.

BTW CoCo Cay is awesome Lots of free things to do. Go to South Beach bring your GoPro or underwater camera and video the sting rays. You can walk out about 2 football fields and be in waste deep water.

Or spend $40.00 at Chill Island for an hour of Kayaking for 2. Fun!!

  7. Look on the bright side. Your cruise is paid for, gratuities are paid. Just go and enjoy yourself. We’ve taken so many cruises and land base vacations that we don’t bother purchasing Souvenirs. Take pictures and videos and share them.

Enjoy free things on the ship. People watch, walking tours and free beaches is a good way to have fun without spending money while at port.
