  1. Pounds changed 5/6 yrs ago as we learned  LOL . No one would take old paper bills. BOA really would of had us in a pickle if we didn’t have

credit cards. People reacted as if old bills where phoney money. Free to exchange in post office old for new. If you had an account in a British bank they also exchanged them. We arrived on a Sat evening banks and post office closed till Tues . There was a bank holiday . Our Bellman at hotel exchanged some personally till Tues so we had some pocket money.

Tap card and go was everywhere so really cash was obsolete. We do like to tip cash even when paying with card so bellman’s exchange helped the service people we encountered. Cabs,Barmen.waitstaff Tour guides etc

  2. Recently got pounds from BOA when we arrived in Scotland .They where no good made of paper. New pounds are plastic/paper

paper hasn’t been accepted for 3 yrs, BOA should of been aware. Luckily cards are king. We found out they could be changed in post office.

  3. We also where on this cruise, Wine bar was designated Meet and Mingle for different groups on board 6 till 8

first  LGTBQ ? then Single only cruisers

We would go 5:30 before 6:00 dinner  at Giovanni’s  Wasn’t to crowded then but looked crowded at the end of our dinner.

4 Married couples so we went to Pub after dinner.

We ‘re 60+ normally hang in Solarium but realizing the age group on board we strayed by main pool when nice out

    Never to crowded

Last update, sooner than I expected.
I just left the Diamond Lounge from getting my morning coffee. Cecilia, the concierge, let me know the LA informed her she heard back from corporate and McKenzie keeps her Diamond status and retains her OWN earned points going foward and her profile has been updated to reflect that. This is exactly what we thought was the case as that’s how Royal had been doing it for years.
    Shew…what an ordeal.

    GM

    Glad to here

YOU MEAN RCI EMPLOYEE MADE A MISTAKE  OMG.

LOL Have a great rest of your cruise

  5. Real Experience

We cruise with a lot of families. We do one big one with all the kids now ages  20s to 30s We are 50s and 60s

27 of our children are all D prior to turning 18 with less than required pts. The 8 couples have cruised multiple times a yr without children and moved on to D+

Our children didn’t get away with anything
This is how RC interprets there own policy

Also 9 of the 27 are married and or living with significant others and those 9 spouses are now cruising with D status

    Grand children 6 D status

Thats the way it works and has for along time. OP is a one off. Hopefully she got her daughters status problems resolved

  6. If couple  have always cruised together and only together everything should be identical. # nts and status

If couple have cruised at different times and linked , both have a different amount of cruise nts. You  both would have same number(higher one) and status.

Her cruises would be listed in her history Yours in yours ,Both would show higher status  If they don’t you would need to contact CnA

When the higher cruiser reaches D+ first the other comes with you even if they only have  enough nts to be Emerald

    Couple divorces Both stay D+

But the person with less can’t move to pinnacle till they  catch up to D+ # nts then on to pinnacle

It’s has been the same with 18yr old aging to 19yr old children, its like a divorce from parents account LOL

    Has been like that forever.

    I still believe OP

will find out  Staff making an error

or OP not giving correct info in her posts
