I was on the Disney Fantasy On Dec 3rd to 10. Embarkation was awful. 4 Cruise ships took off on a Saturday from Port Canaveral (2 Carnival, 1 NCL, 1 DCL). This is TOO MUCH. They are NOT organized to receive that much of a traffic. Everything was delayed. Long waiting lines of car. A Lot of angry people.

Took 2 hours to get to the ship from the rental car to the ship. Not only the Rental car cie (Budget).

On the return, same issues. Took 2 hours to get to the rental car (Avis this time). Want to take a taxi, all the taxis were gone.

Disney representatives on the ground were NOT very helpful and haven’t provide the correct information. Not enough shuttle bus by the rental car companies (this is what I call a NON-Service). It worst than ever (this was my 15th cruises)

At least, the cruise itself was very nice.

Yes it is. The one identified at Port Everglade (with the not complimentary shuttle ) Not the one of the airport. Please avoid. Just a good advice....

First post, but i've done 10 cruises and follow this very usefull cruise forum for a long time.

Yes I should have took a cab, but my budget is tight and want to spend my bucks on more usefull stuff... Always thought the suttle is included in the car rental rates but I guess not!!!

Yes Budget has a shuttle for a small office they have on 17th street. But the service is not good at all, similar to Avis. Everyone should take another car rental cie there (as alamo, dollar thrifty etc...)

Do not rent there if you are going on a cruise. Took a cruise on July 5th. Wait for 2 hours the shuttle. We saw the other rental car company shuttle passing a few times but NEVER Avis. We took the budget shuttle, since it is the same cie.

They told me the shuttle is complementary and I should have paid myself a taxi to drive me to the avis counter! I told them at the counter it is not the level of service expected.... They could not care less at the counter.

So please take my advise. Do not take AVIS. Take any other rental cie sine there are plenty deserving the port.
