First time HAL cruiser and we only booked in May because of a very good deal. After reading about Club Orange on this site we paid to upgrade. The original person I spoke with said she could not change our cabin and I would need to call back on Monday. When I called back (888-628-8107) I spoke with a very nice lady who seemed a bit miffed that the person I spoke with on Saturday had not gone ahead and changed our cabin, she said she was sending an email to help educate them. But she very pleasantly upgraded out cabin. So we went from an obstructed view verandah to an unobstructed view on Mozart deck. We are also very much looking forward to the dining and maybe most importantly - shorter lines (we have some mobility issues). I really hope we don't get our Club Orange rescinded!

When my kids were young I took a set of those magnetized letters and words - the door was metal - and they wrote little poems and then passersby got into it and it was always fun to see what message was left for us. I also took those stick on gel decorations that I've seen people mention. Great to help my kids find their door! Many years later I'm finally taking another cruise and I will be getting something small to stick on the frame to help ME recognize my door. I enjoy seeing others creativity. For all those looking down their noses at decorations, I will just say - Have you ever been to one of those huge "personal care homes"? Rows and rows of sterile, undistinguished doors and I wonder how the elderly occupants tell which is "Home". I inquired and was told door decorations were not allowed. Made me very sad.
