  1. My two transatlantic cruises have been in the spring. Both took a southern route to the Mediterranean, with Tenerife as the first port of call. The seas were very smooth both times, and the weather was mostly sunny. My next cruise is the 4/23/17 transatlantic on the Freedom OTS. Looking forward to another smooth crossing to Lisbon.

  2. Thanks, Just took a look and this seems like something that might really work for us! only problem I see is that we were hoping to do the underground tour at the Colosseum but probably wouldn't work with this tour.

Did you feel rushed doing it this way? How big were the groups?

Our group was not large. Maybe a dozen people. Given the fact there is a time element on every tour, this one was just about right. We had time to enjoy delicious gelato near Trevi Fountain, and a relaxed lunch before heading to the Vatican.

    Hope this helps.

  3. OP, Have you considered Can't be Missed Tours? It's a very affordable (and fun!) way of visiting Rome from Civitavecchia. My wife and I used them last year, and we highly recommend them! It's 65 Euros per person, which includes your tour guides, Vatican Museum admission, and the BIRG tickets. We also entered the Colosseum (admission was extra, but worth it).
