Resurrecting an old thread as I haven't seen anything recent on this issue. I just spoke with the local Alamo TPA rental counter directly and confirmed they no longer have a free shuttle from the airport to the Port of Tampa, unfortunately.

As someone who has been cruising wiht Sixthman since 2001 (been on almost every RockBoat), let me just echo what others have posted - you're in for an amazing time. Sixthman's customer service is top notch and they really care about their cruisers. Hope you have a blast - can't wait to see what you think.

I am so jealous! We are booked on the Live Loud Festival on the Pearl at the end of February and I don't recognize any of the bands playing. I didn't realize that there were other music cruises available or else I would have picked something else. Still, I'm really looking forward to LLF and I'm sure I'll find some great music. Mountain Song at Sea sounds awesome! I've actually seen many of those bands and they are all good. If you are allowed to see some of the shows, check them out. Trampled by Turtles, David Grisman, Steep Canyon Rangers (when I saw them at Bonnaroo in 2011 they had Steve Martin on banjo/lead vocals) and Carolina Chocolate Drops are all amazing bands. I haven't seen the other bands but I'm sure they are great as well. Did I mention that I'm jealous? LOL! I'm sure you'll have fun and find plenty to do even if you aren't allowed into all the shows/events. :)

As someone who has done the RockBoat (another SXM charter) many times and is doing it and Live Loud back to back, I can assure you, that you will love the bands on LLF. Most of them have been on past Rock Boats and are great! Especially make time to check out Bronze Radio Return and Saints of Valory - you won't be disappointed.

If I am booked for back to back cruises with different cabins, will NCL deliver duty free alcohol purchases to my room on the last night if my first sailing or will they hold them until the last night of my second sailing?

 

To add a layer of confusion, my first sailing is a sixth man charter and the second is an NCL cruise.

 

Not quite sure how they would handle it.

I was just coming here to ask the same question (and for the same 2 cruises - TRB and LLF, I take?)

You want the best music on a cruise? Try a sixthman cruise. Expensive, but 30 real-touring bands!

 

Ok, I haven't been on one yet (leave in 8 days), but from everything I hear, it is the best thing ever :)

I agree with Ruby - Sixthman cruises will spoil you forever. Ruby - you will LOVE the Rockboat - see you in a week!
