  1. Hi - we are going Aug 5th on the Summit. We are not buffet people for dinner. so when we go to the dinning room. ? must men wear long sleeve shirts to dinner? My husband is always warm, i figured nice slacks & golf shirt or short sleeve shirt. Clean and pressed, nothing torn or worn. Will that be ok? I have no problems with all the suggestions for women. Other cruise ships are ok with this.

  2. Some items I hand wash, while others I send to the ship's laundry.

My only piece of advice is to dry clean delicate items, the ship's laundry is not easy on your clothes, they'll iron on labels which will need to be pulled off. I tend to only send those items that I know will stand up to this handling or that I'm willing to part with if they don't come back in the same condition I sent them in.

Honestly an 11 day cruise shouldn't be that bad unless you are trying to pack light.

    Good luck.

Thanks - I try to pack light, but I hate it when the weather is hot. I need to change cloth. I will pack some laundry detergent and hand wash things if needed.

  3. Hi - My husband and I along with my daughter and family just booked our Anniversary cruises for both couples. We are having connecting cabins. We have never gone on Norwegian before but husband & I have done other cruise lines. We have any time dinning. Do you need reservations for the main dinning room? Want to sit down as a family and have a nice dinner. We also have a 16 yr old grandson going. Do they have things for kids his age to do on the ship. He has never gone on a ship before. Any info on the ship would be helpful. I have to read the book to see what they have to offer. :) only 471 days to go!

  4. We were on the Sunshine balcony room 6159 on the 8 day January 8th sailing. It was not as loud as I expected. You could hear a little bass thumping but that was about it. We (wife and 2 year old son) easily fell asleep and were able to sleep throughout the night with no problem. Enjoy your cruise, we loved it.

Great that is the room I just booked!

  5. It will be our first trip on Splendor. Have been on other ships and different companies. We have 58 days until our trip. Getting tired of all the snow we have been having. Need some warmth and sun! Always wanted to see the ruins in Belize.
  6. Sorry to hear you had problems with rude passengers. You can had rude people on all kinds of trips. I had that problem with going to an island. As other people said, ignore them, don't let them soil your trip. Happy Sailing.
  7. Hi

Also did the tour. We didn't book in advance. I read about the tour times and took a chance I would see Joe on pier. I did find the tour at the pier by the information booth. They did had room so we when along. Only 1 other couple was going. Your taxi as extra. We were also taken to the office. Had training. Practiced and then made our way to the tour area. Had a fun tour while riding the segway. Stopped at fort and did the beach. When done stopped at the beach/bar cooled off in the water. Had a drink and talked. I did lose my balance once and did hurt myself. (and my pride) but would do it in a heart beat. Once on it's segway and moving it great. My husband loved it and wants to buy one. Would highly recommend it. Had alot of FUN. Also got some great photos while on tour. If you do it Tell Joe and Kadash I said Hello from Pat & Don. DId tour Friday May 8th.
