Those experienced Epic Haven travelers: could you please clarify where the glass elevators running between the 15th and 18th floors, also stop if at all? I tried searching this board but got conflicting statements like the glass elevators stop also on floor 16 and 17, or they don't stop anywhere. The floor 17 map shows DOS-s near the glass elevators, so I doubt they can stop on the 17...

My last and only experience with Princess was negative due to Princess' cancellation of our cruise on Caribbean Princess from San Juan back in 2012.

However, Princess has a very tempting itinerary for a TA on Emerald in May 2019 with somewhat reasonable pricing for a full suite (S3). I am trying to make decision and hope for help of the experienced Princess' cruisers.

Right now my wife and I have a reservation on NCL's Epic that has a very similar itinerary. We have not yet sailed with NCL (we cruised with RCCL and Celebrity), but this reservation is for a Haven H4 cabin. My wife has a chronic back problem so she is disabled to some degree.

I tried to formulate specific questions and will be grateful for your help...

1) It looks like the dinners would be "club dining." How repetitive the menu is going to be for 15-nights TA? How does the food compare to Epic's Haven restaurant (their menu is fixed)?

2) It is unclear if the suite breakfast is at a special restaurant or at "club dining"?

3) Do you think my wife can swim laps at any pool on this TA, that is, is there a time that the pools get not crowdy? What times are the pools open?

4) Princess offers flight quotes before booking. How reliable are they - I mean if we make a cruise reservation and want to actually proceed with flight reservation - will the pricing be the same (for RCCL's air2sea they are not)?

4) Epic appears to have a Broadway show, a professional dancing show and a Cirque show on top of regular entertainment. How does Emerald's offering compare?

5) How does the Lotus spa compare with Epic's?

6) Fellow passengers: we are afraid that there would be many drunk people on Epic, even in Haven. How about Princess' TA?

7) I heard that the Princess' "luxury bed" is on the softer side. We would prefer a firm mattress. How does this bed compare to NCL's bed? Is it possible to request a firm mattress on Princess?

Aha, walking 3 blocks with 2 water package is too sporty. I guess it is better to keep the original Hampton then.

Thanks in advance Putterdude and all the locals, you are so generous to offer your time and expertise. I have scanned through this entire thread and didn't find the exact info I need. We (3 adults + 1 teen, lots of luggage) arrive by bus (quick coach) in Vancouver at about 9-10 pm on a July Friday. Our embarkation is at the Ballantyne. In Hampton we have a 2-queens standard room and in PP we can have a 2-doubles citi view at the same price. Both hotels provide free breakfast, hot in Hampton and continental in PP. Hampton also offers a free shuttle to Ballantyne. We would also like to purchase water packs in the neighbourhood prior to cruise next morning. So, could you please provide your inputs as of what to choose???

One Ride. That time includes the shuttle ride to the top, standing in line, getting harnessed in, and getting unharnessed at the bottom. There are some good videos on youtube. Just search Icy Strait Point Zip Rider. Enjoy ISP, We sure did!

Hmm, $139 for 90 s fun? I am not sure, but thanks for the info

Can anybody please tell me, how many rides are included in each tour? They say the entire ride takes just 90 seconds, yet the tour itself takes an hour and a half.
