We booked a CB grade restricted view balcony for our forthcoming cruise on the QE next month, while checking our voyage personaliser I noticed we have been allocated stateroom number 6200 which I believe is a BD grade as not too sure about the grading system would this be considered as a good upgrade.

Hello we are due to go on the QE in a couple of months and we were wondering if it is worth buying a wine package or just leaving it until we go, does anyone know if there is a difference in price by buying before you travel

Hello Everyone I booked a cruise in January for November and got free onboard credit due to being 175th year, just noticed the cruise price has come down by 300 pounds per person less that what I paid with a better cabin grade , there is no onboard credit but even taking that into consideration I am still quids down, as this is my first time with Cunard I was wondering if all you seasoned Cunard travelers could advice me of the best time to book, obviously not early, I know you pays you money and takes your chance but I do feel a wee bit peeved at the amount of the price drop. Plus the credit does not seem like a free gift anymore.

Hi I am not sure if this would have been allowed but if there were problems with the US visa why can't they have just confined them to the ship on this section until the ship left US territory. That would have maybe been a more sensible solution for everyone.

We were in a transatlantic cruise a few years ago with thomsons and there was a masked ball on, it was quite formal, the ladies wore evening gowns and the men wore dinner suits.

They did have some masks in the shop which you could buy but they also had mask making class if I remember correctly there was a fee for this ,but it was to cover costs and was not expensive, my wife and I attended these sessions and made our own , I think I was only guy there but it was a good laugh and something to do when on a sea day and I would recommend you do this if they are on. There might be someone you can call to find out but I am not sure. But I would think if they are having a masked ball there is a good chance that they will have classes. If they are on take hubby with you, like me he will probably say I not doing that but really it's quite fun and you can make matching his and hers mask lol. Alternately you could maybe buy some before you go,

you have booked a thomsons cruise and that's what you will get we have been on all the ships and they are all managed very similar so enjoy your holiday and forget about who owns what it is not something you will notice

This is getting like war and peace lol Ai or not Ai but you have got to look at the facts if I book a cruise and I get all inclusive free or for 49 pounds or for 10 pounds a day I am going to take it wether I am a heavy drinker or not if I have to pay full price eg over 200 pounds for the package I would probably leave it so if I am all inclusive it does not mean I am a drunken fall about person it means I got it for a good price wether I drink 10 soft drinks or 10 vodkas a day. People who get drunk and cause trouble and I have seen a couple but not many will be like that wether they are Ai or payg it usually the type of people they are and let's be honest we all probably know someone who falls into this category so just go on your cruise and drink what you want and if you come across trouble makers just let them get on with it and stay away from then

We were in 716 pre platinum upgrade it was a big room two single beds both running the same way but because of room size the bed are far apart I suppose you might be able to put then together I think it might have had a double porthole but not too sure the only downside was the noise when you were docking at the ports early in the morning the cabin backs onto the main gangway door area you herd the crew getting everything ready and every ding of people going off and on ship but that would not stop us booking the same cabin again.

Hello we have done this cruise twice before and we are going again in nov in the past the cruise went from Lisbon and Tenerife but it went around 2weeks later than this one . The weather on leaving was just ok and got gradually better every day the sea was calm for most of the journey with only one sort of rough day again it was not too bad and it was at the start of the crossing. I don't know if the two weeks earlier would make any difference. Hope this helps

I don't know if it changed since last year but my wife used the wifi on board the ship, can't remember the cost but you can buy a package and as long as you remember to log off you can go on for a few mins at a time to check e mails ect . But I remember it was not very fast and if the crew use the same wifi it won't be good enough for Skype or video calls which they like to use when calling home so in that respect I think they probably still use the bars when they get into port ,now days most bars and cafés have free wi you just need to buy a drink.

Hi all regarding Ai deals I have been on thomsons a few times now and I have paid full and discounted price for AI , also done late deals , in my experience and I watch the price changes with and without AI , if you like a drink on holiday and I don't mean getting smashed every night but just normal eg a few beers in the afternoon, wine with dinner a drink during the show you all know what I mean then the AI package would prob be best. So if you get it free or reduced then go for it. Once the free or reduced AI ends you might get around 100 pounds off the cruise but that would never cancel out the AI deals, for example I booked the Caribbean I think it's called Caribbean Quest for nov 2014 I booked it almost a year in advanced I fly from Manchester it cost 1235 each with free all inclusive the price now is 1488 and AI cost 300 pounds mind this is for 15 nights so both the cruise price and the AI price have increased, in my experience the best deals are usually the first ones that come out. However at the moment from London you can get this cruise for just over 1100 pounds and AI will cost you 300 I still think that is not a bad deal. You might get the cruise a bit cheaper but bet if it does the AI will be withdrawn. But I will keep a eye on it and let you know .

Booked onto the Celebration on 15 th Nov 2014 going to the Caribbean sailing from Malaga to Gibraltar then Tenerife then transatlantic this will be our third time doing this Destiny, Dream now Celebration flying from Manchester 15 nights and free all inclusive upgrade all under 2500 pounds for both of us.
