Can you still just turn up on the day and buy a day pass?

Have been reading your very informative posts - thank you for taking the time to help everyone.
We will be in St Croix this coming Christmas Day - will shops/bars be open? We are thinking of going to Sandcastle Beach - will we be able to get taxis easily enough? What time do you think we should get there to make sure we get chairs and umbrellas?
Thanks so much.
Chris

Yes, we went there last January. Had a great time. Spent some time on the beach, had lunch, and moved up to the pool. Plenty to drink, great staff. Everything was really good. Go - enjoy! We’ll be in Curacao in February and booked this all inclusive day stayhttp://www.resortforaday.com/Curacao-Santa-Barbara-Beach-Resort-p/cursbba.htm
Anyone ever been?

Someone said the cabins are in a better location...... ours was the noisiest we've ever encountered. We were right outside a crew access door where they bring in the room service orders. Starting at before 6am the access door constantly squeaked open which was the prelude to a loud banging noise when closing. Not blaming the crew - they probably had their hands full - but definitely would not do Concierge again.
Fruit and canapés were ok, but as someone else said, that's easy enough to bring down from the restaurant and then you get to make your own selections.
Footstool was my favorite (being only 5'1" tall) but I've bought an inflatable one now that I hope will do the same job.
We've now gone back to our Balcony - 1A or 1B - and are very satisfied - good value for money.:)

Both are excellent but for two, I prefer Tuscan. Enjoy!

That might be what they're saying but there's nothing on their website yet!!
We are overnighting in Curacao and so far there's just the normal excursions posted.

Our first night on the ship, DH cut his arm. That night a small amount of blood from his bandage got on the bottom sheet. The cabin steward change the sheets without our asking. Seems, if they noticed they are soiled, they'll change them immediately.

We had the same issue - felt bad that they felt they had to change the sheets but were impressed by the service.:)

I appears that Perry Grant has the same cult following as Bert Stratton on Princess cruises. Is his act similar to Bert's?
We saw Bert on our very first Princess cruise 10 years ago and loved him and we've seen Perry a couple of times on the Eclipse. They both have the same kind of commitment from their fans although their acts are VERY different. Having said that they are both entertaining, funny, professional, committed to giving the passengers a fun experience.
We will miss Perry in January but hope he does well with Princess. We started our cruising experience with Princess and switched to X 3 years ago and loved them and will stay with them. We did a last minute Princess at Christmas and although we enjoyed our cruise felt that X have the edge on almost all counts. Plus until Princess start doing 14 day cruises again (not 2 x 7 day cruises back to back) we wouldn't even think about it.
BUT, it's horses for courses - what some people love others hate - that's what makes life interesting!:p

We booked the specialty package of three immediately as we boarded but didn't have to go the first night.:)

I know I'm coming to this review late, but I just wanted to say what a great job you did. I couldn't stop flicking through the pics and video, especially the zip lining in St Kitts - we may have to do this next time we visit.
Our first Celebrity cruise was on the Equinox and last year we did the 14 day on the Eclipse, which we are doing again in Jan 2015 - both beautiful ships.
Anyway, thanks again for your review. I am sure that anyone undecided about this same cruise would sign up immediately, so maybe Celebrity should send you some $$$:roll eyes:
Happy Cruising:p

Just booked a Princess cruise after a 3 year hiatus, to find they now do a Drinks Package:D Apologies if this question has already been asked and answered but does anyone have any views on whether we should book it before we get on, or wait till we board.
Notice we are not asking whether or not do buy it - that's a 'no-brainer':p

On Reflection last 2+ weeks and did Land and Sea tour (we had to do ship excursions) - 2 hours bus tour in the morning which was very good even though we are not bus tour people then on to a 2 hour catamaran sail in the pm with lunch. Very good - would do it again if we could not do trips on our own.
