  1. Think those hotel lobby or office lobby specialty coffee machine - place cup, push latte or mocha or hot chocolate or black coffee, etc.

Whether it's better than the included - that's up to you.

On Royal class ships (Royal, Regal , Majestic ) all included coffee is made from fresh grounds - not the concentrate syrup like other ships.

    That's good to know. Thanks

  2. You will have the option to have Breakfast in Sabatini's also which is wonderful - quiet and relaxed. No 'Butler' service but there is a Concierge Lounge on Riviera Deck (Deck 14) which is across from the Penthouse Suites on this deck (open for all Full Suites). The Concierge Lounge has snacks, cappuccino/espresso coffee etc. and is staffed by someone from Passenger Services usually at posted times - usually a few hours in the morning and then again a few hours late afternoon or so. As memoak said earlier, you will be able to dine in the Club Class section of the Main Dining Room (Deck 6 on our recent Regal cruise) - this was a great experience with no wait and the same dedicated staff but be aware, if traveling with other family/friends not in a Club Class Mini-Suite or Full Suite, they will not be able to dine with you - you can dine with them in the Main Dining Room though).

    Good information. Thank You

  3. You will also receive 2 free bottles of water each day and more than likely will have a voucher in your room for one free balcony breakfast. (Regal/Royal Princess has given this balcony breakfast to suite passengers since at least November of 2017.

    Don't miss the Sabatini's breakfast. It's delicious!

as long as they have "Bacon" I'm in!

    Thank You

  4. Class dining. Embarkation dinner in specialty restaurant. Breakfast in Sabatini's. Laundry. Minibar set up. Shoe shine. Concierge lounge (concierge, small bites, juice, specialty coffee machine). No butlers or additional room staff. Able to order B, L, or D from dining room menu (when available). More space. Bathtub. And so on..

Thank You so much. "Specialty Coffee Machines?" I don't really care for "Latte's" etc. but would certainly appreciate better coffee than what the buffet and room service provide.

  5. Hello to all,

I have a cruise on the Regal Princess coming up in two weeks. We were upgraded (for a "Nominal fee") from a "Mini Suite to a Penthouse Suite. Having never been in a "Luxury Suite" before, I'm wondering what to expect. I know we get free laundry, free dinner in a specialty restaurant, priority boarding etc. Do we get a separate "Line" when dining in the main dining room? Do we get "Butler" services?" I am a firm believer in "Tipping" well for good service. I would VERY much appreciate some input so that I (we) can enjoy the "Perks" to the fullest. Thank You in advance for any advice and suggestions. Marina Deck 723 btw.

    Thanks

  6. Hello to all,

We just got upgraded from a "Mini Suite" to a "Penthouse Suite" on the Regal Princess (Marina 723) I know we get free laundry, free dinner at a "Specialty" restaurant on "Departure" day etc. I am told we also get "Priority Seating" in the dining room. Does that mean a separate line, and separate area of the dining room? This will be our first time in a "Penthouse Suite." Any advice or information, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Kindest Regards to All

  7. Yes, we like to stay at the HI next to the docks, but the OP is hoping for transport from Heathrow... if they come by train, it's still a taxi ride away.

To the OP... if you go to the Ports section, and look for Great Britain, you'll get lots of answers about coming from London to Southampton... it's the cruise line's fault for suggesting that S'ton is London, when they're over 60 miles apart...

Thanks everyone. I have it all worked out. Using Smith's airport transport. A lot easier.

  8. Towel animals are a nice surprise, some of them are quite clever, but for me, it doesn't make or break a cruise. I remember reading on "CC" a complaint from someone who claimed that her cruise was "Absolutely" "Ruined" because there were no "Towel Animals" (jeez, get a grip woman).

  9. I didn't mean for you to change your plans...I meant for you to book the 10/31 sailing ALSO; that is why I asked in my message that maybe you would like to book that one TOO...oh well.

Its all good. I was just teasing you.:halo:

  10. I am a 65-year old female cruising solo on the same ship leaving on Oct. 31 for a partial Panama Canal cruise. Maybe you would like to book that one too? Bon voyage to you and let me know your impression of the Caribbean Princess.

Maybe you would like to book the one I'M on? Jeeze, why does the GUY always have to change his plans? LOL;p

  11. Hello to all,

I will be cruising solo on the Caribbean Princess that departs Southampton Aug. 29th of this year. 12 day cruise to Ireland, Scotland, Paris. I am a 67 year old Male, in GREAT physical shape. Anybody want to "Buddy Up?" Let me know. Totally "Platonic"

  12. I was able to retire "Quite Comfortably" at age 55. I took to it right away, didn't EVEN need training. I've been widowed for quite some time. I am a certified bowling Instructor/Coach, I bowl in three leagues, and give free lessons whenever possible. My "Boys" Jake and Clancy both Golden Retrievers. Jake is 9 months old and weighs 81 pounds, Clancy is 18 months old and weighs about the same. I spend a lot of time with them. I am also a certified dog trainer, and do that for free. I have been on 17 cruises so far, the last two I did by myself. I felt VERY alone. My wife and I used to cruise a lot. I have a "British Isles" cruise coming up the last week in August. I'm a bit apprehensive about going solo, but I DID sign up for the "Meet and Greet", I should be able to make some new friends there. Sorry, I got a little off topic.

  13. Well I'm glad there's people that can tolerate no region cruise line

    ericfromri,

Really? What motivated You to post this? Better yet, what made You think anyone would give a Rat's Butt about it? The OP put in a lot of effort to post some great photos of His "Once in a Lifetime" cruise, and You feel the need to "Slam" the cruiseline? Get a life.

  14. Why waste your breathe if you can be polite and help out another fellow cruiser... there are no stupid questions on here. .. we are all here to help and learn from another.... your point in your remark serves no purpose whatsoever!

Thanks for your answer. You were nicer than I would have been. With over 4,000 posts one would think that (no, I'm not going to resort to name calling, as tempting as it is) would know better.

  15. The best cure I know of is to turn right around and get on another cruise! Seriously though, being on a ship can really mess with your equilibrium. Also, when walking around a ship, you sometimes use different parts of your leg muscles that you don't normally use. That part will go away soon enough, in the mean time try ginger tablets, or ginger ale, no side effects, and you should be "Good to Go" in a day or two.
